I’m very grateful to have my work included at , as part of an exhibition bringing many different approaches to contemporary Australian ceramics together in one connected presentation.

It was lovely to meet so many of the artists at the opening and during the launch of The Journal of Australian Ceramics. Thank you to the team at and everyone involved in making the exhibition possible 🧡

You can still visit Continuum until September 🔥

My sculptural ceramic vase explores continuum through material, colour and surface. Forest green, sea foam and volcanic tones move across the form, drawing from landscapes shaped by time, pressure and change.

The textures reference cooled lava, blistered rock, coral growth and shifting sand. Each surface develops gradually from the one before it, reflecting the way natural systems transform through continuity, resilience, and interconnected processes 🌊

These broad-rimmed vases have been lovely to make. 🏺

For the green, cream and light brown vase, I used two different clays while throwing it on the potter’s wheel. 💚🤍 The other vase has some mixed clay, with a glaze that creates a textured, crackled effect.

I love the tapered shape at the top. It makes each piece look like a tall vessel, but it can also be used as a vase. Playing with new shapes and new textures is always a treat. 🥰

This vase was a little experiment with glaze and oxides. 💙

I used a white glaze with a mix of oxides, and some of them did not agree with the glaze. The reaction opened up these small craters and created an unusual textured surface. 🔥

The result also brought out some beautiful shades of blue, gradually changing from lighter tones to almost black. 💙🖤

I’ve been trying out some new glaze combinations recently. 🎨

The green plates have been very popular, so I thought I would combine the green with a red-pink glaze, an orange glaze, and a blue-orange glaze combination.

The glazes are moved around in a swirling direction, creating unusual patterns on each piece. No two plates turn out the same. 💞

They are currently available in a small size, almost a side plate, and can be used for serving, holding your keys as you come into the house, or keeping your jewellery.

A quick 2-week turnaround to make these bowls for Saltwater Community Centre’s 10th Anniversary 💙 Wyndham City

I made a little over 25 bowls, finished each one and then did a slow bisque firing. 🔥 Glazing them all in time was quite a challenge, but I’m very happy with how they have turned out.

These bowls will be on display tomorrow at Saltwater Community Centre as part of the anniversary celebration.

I’ll also be having a market stall for the event — hope to see you there 😊

Saltwater Community Centre (Wyndham City) is marking its 10th anniversary 🎉

A lovely milestone for a place that has brought so many people together through community programs, creativity, and connection.

I feel grateful to have been part of the centre from the beginning through my ceramics teaching, and to have met so many kind and familiar faces over the years. 🥰

This Saturday, I’ll be taking part in the Saltwater Craft Market as part of the celebrations.

I’ve prepared some new pieces and I’m looking forward to sharing them with you. 🔥
