🎨 The easels are empty… so what's next? 👀
Well, that's a wrap on my Australian Animals series… for a little while anyway! 🐨🦉
I've just finished my last few paintings & for the first time in ages, my easels are completely empty. No unfinished paintings, no projects waiting in the wings… just a blank canvas and endless possibilities!

And you know what? I'm actually pretty excited about it! ✨

I've got an idea brewing for a brand-new series & let's just say we're heading in a completely different direction.

Here's your first hint… it's NOT animals! 🤭

But before I get started, I'd love to hear from you!

💚 If you could ask me to paint absolutely anything, what would it be?

Do you have a favourite memory, an object, a place or something nostalgic you'd love to see brought to life on canvas?

I'm curious to see what you come up with… and who knows, you might even guess where I'm heading next!

👇 Drop your ideas or guesses in the comments!

What a beautiful little piece of history to find today. 🤍

While going through some old family treasures with my mum, we came across this handwritten note from my great-grandmother, dated 1977.

She wrote about a painting I had made of her when I was only three years old describing how I saw her as:
“young and happy”, gathering colourful flowers, with petals flying everywhere carrying messages of love.

Reading those words all these years later stopped me in my tracks.

There is something so special about knowing that even at three years old, I was already expressing myself through art, colour and imagination. Now, decades later, that same love of creating has become such an important part of who I am.

Art has always been there.
It has grown with me, changed with me & eventually became something I was brave enough to truly call my own.

Finding this today felt like such a beautiful reflection of the path I’ve taken — from a little girl painting for someone she loved, to the artist I am today.

Some things really do stay with us for a lifetime. 🤍🎨

A quick overnight trip to Melbourne for the Affordable Art Fair at the beautiful Royal Exhibition Building 🎨✨

With over 70 exhibiting galleries and thousands of original artworks, the talent on display was incredible. So much colour, creativity and inspiration all in one place.

It was so wonderful to finally meet some of the lovely ladies from my Artizone community — Jessica Taft | Australian Oil & Watercolour Painter Ani Ipradjian ✚ Abstract Australian Artist 🖌 & KimberleyCardowArtist — in person. 💛

I also loved seeing Tania Chanter | Australian Abstract Landscape Artist beautiful work and catching up with Avi from Fantastic Framing

It was fabulous chatting with Martine from Martine Gallery about all things resin and also wonderful to meet .art in person.

I am so sad I didn’t get any video of Misha Harrison — I was so excited to finally see her artwork up close. It was even better in person. ✨

Hopefully one day I may even get the chance to display my own art!!

Such a fun and inspiring Melbourne art adventure. 🥰
