I first became very passionate about floristry during my teenage years. So as soon as I could work I got into the industry and worked on a flower farm for a short period of time. This enabled me to see the waste involved in the process and I become very uncomfortable with this as it didn’t align with my values. So I left. However, the recent rise of sustainable floristry has made me excited again!
Instead of using imported flowers, which travel thousands of miles, wrapped in plastic and sprayed with chemicals, I wanted to use local flowers, naturally grown, presented in sustainable, earth friendly materials. This prompted the idea of creating AllamBee Blossoms in South Gippsland, Victoria. I offer beautifully grown and arranged local flowers grown chemical free and without synthetic fertilisers for local shops and florists!
