Hello lovelies, I am so excited to share that I am running two amazing 8-week courses at the fabulous South Kingsville Community Centre.
Beginner sewing and Beginner Crochet!

Both courses start next week with Beginner sewing on Monday evenings from 6pm - 8pm, and Crochet on Tuesday evenings, also from 6pm - 8pm.

If you are interested in attending and learning some new skills, see all the details below and contact the centre to book your place.

I am so very excited to have been asked to run these courses and can’t wait to work with the beautiful people at the SKCC.

Ok, I cheated! I made something new, but you would too if you have a Spotlight voucher and a yarn sale. Plus, I had already made the bunny head so technically it was an incomplete project I just needed to finish 😁. I did back it up with a genuinely half-finished project now complete, but I’ll post that later 🧡💛💚💜

In addition to actually finishing all those half-finished projects, I’ve also got to take photos of them all and then decide what I am going to do with them! I will definitely donate some, give some away to friends and family and sell some.

In the meantime, here is the first photo of a finished project. Yay!! 🥳 .

This is the super chunky acrylic, daisy square throw rug. It weights a ton, which actually makes it the perfect weighted blanket!! 😁. It’s fabulously warm.

Amazing what you can do with several giants balls of yarn from Aldi 😁🧶.

Hello everyone, lovely little church, The Bridge Church (Douglas Parade, Williamstown) is having a community ‘Pop-up’ repair cafe on Sunday 21 June 2026 from 10-12pm.

If you have clothes in need of mending or altering, handyman tips or advice about a broken appliance, drop into our “Pop Up” Repair Café, where our volunteer fixers can provide guidance and, where possible, help with simple repairs. You can also enjoy a barista-made coffee and croissant on us. Plus, there are drew an activities fo the kids.

No bookings required.

It was so absolutely lovely to get these beauties out again and get them ready to go to Queensland for my beautiful friend and former neighbour Toni ❤️. I love that she wanted a little bit of Helen in her new home.

We have honestly been blessed with the best neighbours over the years and love that we can stay in touch, especially over lovely crocheted tea towels.

In the five years we were neighbours, darling Toni always took a keen interest interest in my various craft projects and brought more than her fair share of my creations. She always made me feel as though I was Queen of the craft world and I simply love her for that ( and for her cakes and slices, and just for being one of the most beautiful, kind-hearted people I have ever been lucky enough to have in my life ❤️).

The girls and I miss you Toni, but we are so happy that you, Mark and Kasey are happy in your new home up there with all your girls and your Mumma in the sunshine.

Hi chums, remember this chair?
Well, it turns out that not checking and securing the springs was a colossal stuff-up of gigantic proportions because I had to take most of it apart again and fix them 😫.

My hubby in his quest for supreme slouchyness managed to dislodge a few of them and what was left was a wiry mess. Pulling out all those staples and nails and undoing hours and hours of work was not fun, but it had to be done if we wanted to keep using it, which we did.

I learned so much about positioning and securing springs, which was fun, although I’m still not entirely sure I got it completely right! Still, they shouldn’t move anytime soon because those suckers are tied, re-tied and stitched in.

There are some things I think I did better first time around, but I’m learning to forgive myself for not being perfect 😂.

I definitely won’t be making that mistake again.
