Lecce by night. This town glows in the evening and the streets take on a different form. The buildings are beautifully lit to highlight the architectural details and the shops come alive. On our last night here was finished off with a decadent chocolate dessert and glass of limoncello.

Gallipoli is a coastal town in Puglia with some lovely streets to wander. The Punta Della Suina beach nearby had crystal clear turquoise water and a great beach club to get lunch and a spritz.

I fell in love with the Itria Valley in Puglia. Ancient olive groves and trulli houses dotted through the rolling hills. Driving from town to town was a treat. We stayed in a trulli in the country which was a unique experience, and where I had the best Puglia coffee called an espressino.

Alberobello was an incredible town to visit. It’s know for its trulli buildings which were originally built of dry stones without mortar. It was unique, really pretty and very photogenic. I even found a shop that had 2 dogs that reminded me of Lucy and Liza, lying on the shop floor hoping for some attention from the customers. I also had an amazing Violeta spritz on a rooftop bar that overlooked all these amazing buildings.

Polignano a Mare in Puglia is just beautiful. The colour of the water was a shade of deep turquoise. The views were amazing both from the mainland as well as from the boat. Wish we could have stayed longer here.

Had an early evening aperitif at the Palazzo Ripetta where I got to admire the beautiful architecture and interiors. It has an interesting history as it was previously a convent and refuge for abandoned women. The hotel features a sculpture by Pomdoro in entrance.

My hotel in Rome was close to the Forum, Colosseum and Vittorio Emmanuelle so I got to see these areas at different time...

My hotel in Rome was close to the Forum, Colosseum and Vittorio Emmanuelle so I got to see these areas at different times of the day. Dusk was especially pretty. The rooftop terrace had great views over this area.
