A week off on a friend’s farm. My head didn’t get the memo.

Colour follows me everywhere, even into the veggie garden. The ocean had me thinking about blue and camel together.

I used AI on this photo. Here’s exactly what for.

I asked it to tidy the background and fix the light. That’s it. The room was a mess and the light was flat, and cleaning that up saved me a shoot I can’t afford right now.

What I didn’t let it touch: the bag, my face, my body. The bag you see has to be the bag that arrives. If the weave isn’t the real weave, I’ve got nothing to sell you.

(The bracelet was me. I didn’t like the one I had on.)

So here’s my rule, if it’s useful to you. Background and light, yes. The product, never. Compare them side by side before you post. And say that you used it.

Shops can only order from me one day a month.

I make handwoven bags with artisans in Peru and sell them here in Australia. I used to take wholesale orders whenever they came in, which meant messaging the women who make these every week with another small order, changing whatever they were already in the middle of making.

Now they get one list a month. They can plan. And I get my head back.

This is the first spring order of the season.
