With so much support lately and so many new followers I thought it was high time I introduced myself. My name is Renรฉ and I am the maker/grower behind Homespun Field along with my husband Cameron, some of you may have already met him in the shop.
I am currently studying beekeeping through Tocal College and I love to share my deep love and appreciation for these wonderful little creatures with everyone, feel free to check out the posters in the shop of all the native bees we have in the Hunter region and see if you recognise any from your backyard!
I completed a Diploma of Sustainable Living from the University of Tasmania through COVID times and my permaculture design certificate not long before that and these add up to a love of living as lightly as possible. You may have noticed there is almost no plastic in the shop and what little may make its way in there is usually from recycled materials, our beautiful flowers are only wrapped in paper and we even use paper tape to keep them together! Lots of the stuff I make for the shop is designed to help you live a little more sustainably too. The shop itself is largely made from recycled materials with most of the corrugated sheeting coming from the old roof of Toronto Pub!
If you have any questions please reach out, either on here or call out when you are visiting the shop.
See you there ๐๐
