Back at Ballarat Farmers Market with a big restock of spoon rests, a new batch of herb st*****rs, a bunch of assorted clearance items and the usual range of mugs, plus new yarn bowls.

Fingers crossed for the weather to be kind, it's not too bad at the moment.

The stuff I made four days ago is still too wet to trim and I'm almost out of bats to throw on. So today I used up the last of the clay and switched to big bats and made a bowl and a platter. Luckily I have three weeks between markets and I'll soon be switching back to doing markets once per month.

I forgot how great this   for throwing flat pieces. I got these eight spoon rests thrown in about 20 minutes.

After five years of working with clay through the seasons, I've learned a few tricks for making the best of changing conditions. High humidity means these spoon rests in will dry slowly and be less likely to crack on the bottoms.
