As many of you know, 2 of my best mates lost thier little girl Mayah at just 21 months of age. Due to complications after a heart transplant.

I can not express enough how truly painful that was. It has been years since she has left this world, but none of us, especially her Mum and Dad, got the chance to really grieve the loss of their baby girl.

Now, as if it wasn't cruel enough to have this beautiful family face all the challenges of hospital life, their child bound by cords and machines, to then having to lose thier precious girl.

They are now having to relive the nightmare just 5 years later.

Baby Lewis, just turned 1. Now he is attached to the same cords and machines.

He now, after a few scares along the way, is on VAD machine, an artificial heart that beats his heart for him.

This machine will keep him alive, until he is gifted with a new heart.

These guys have been through more than enough, but now are facing financial problems, just for wanting to be with their son every second they can.

I had wanted one of these Bat Plants for so long, although I'm not going to lie... the flowers creep me out a little! 😳

One of my bestest friends Jess gifted me my very first of these beauties.

Just a little shout out to Jess from For Plants Sake for always being there for me, no matter what. You're friendship, kindness and continuous support, means more to me than words will ever describe.

Thank you for this beautiful plant, even if I am now a little scared to enter the greenhouse 🤣
