We are enjoying an extra day holiday on Monday due to Kings Birthday! Congratulations to the Colac Quilters on a very successful Quilt In on Saturday, had a great time catching up with so many lovely quilters and, as speaker for an hour, I enjoyed hearing their laughter. Well done ladies! Just one stunner tonight, I am a sucker for a Hydrangea fabric and this one is gorgeous with blooms the size of my hand with delicate petals that look almost like a watercolour painting! Be Still My Beating Heart! 💙

A change of pace this evening with the ever popular Liberty Tana Lawn that we have just introduced precut Fat Sixteenths x 10 in a box.
Select box 1, 2, 3 or 4, all different and just $45 a box. We have sold so many of Alice's books we have lost count and they continue to delight Quilters around the world!! Also two graceful antique style 108" wide backs, Kathleen's Story from Marcus Fabrics.

I am late… I'm late for a very important date! New Alice in Wonderland inspired fabrics just arrived! Sweet Cats in Teacups and Daisy by Heather Bailey in fresh colours. It's back to work with no rest for the wicked!!

Your last look at New Zealand from my photos with the amazing Fleur Woods with a collaborative piece we viewed at the Mouteke library, slow stitch , embroidery with the use of vintage doillies and fabric. The people at the venue were just so obliging and friendly leaving us to ponder this gorgeous piece of work as long as we needed! I do hope Fleur can find somewhere it can hang permanently so all can appreciate its beauty. The Christchurch Art Gallery presented a exhibition of interesting works from the Islands using a synthetic matting that they stitched silk strips into, the colours and patterns were just beautiful. I do hope you have all enjoyed these quick snapshots of New Zealand and visit if you have the opportunity.

I am a walking talking advert for NZ as the art is amazing. The sheer size of the images on sides of buildings right down to the cover for traffic control box! Just walk the streets and each time you turn a corner a surprise awaits! Aren’t these just absolutely stunning pieces 🎨

The Cat is back from travels, rested and raring to go!
One place I always visit while in Christchurch is the Tannery, a small complex with The Fabric House first with Rob playing silly buggers! So many William Morris fabrics but they are the heavier kind as the lovely chair demonstrates. I could not resist the Deer Linen! Next door a fabulous Co Op with stunning felting! OOPS! Had to have this amazing creation by BarAnn Designs, Divine! A sweet Florist, French inspired gift shop, Chocolate covered Date for evening sweeties and we were done for the day. Next stop The Art Gallery! 🤩
