Today was a wonderful reminder of what can be achieved when a community comes together for a great cause. 👕💕
Volunteers from Ballina RSL Club, Cherry Street Sports Club, Club Lennox Sports, Rotary Club of Ballina on Richmond, and the wider Ballina community joined forces for a Supertee Packing Day, helping prepare these incredible garments for local children in hospital.
The Supertee is much more than just a t-shirt. Designed as a child-friendly alternative to the traditional hospital gown, its innovative design allows medical staff and parents to easily access medical lines while keeping children comfortable and dressed. More importantly, it brings imagination, confidence and a sense of fun to children during what can be a very challenging time.
With exciting designs including superheroes such as Captain America and Spider-Man, as well as themes like Space Commander and Ballerina, Supertees help young patients embrace their inner hero and face their battles with courage.
After packing the Supertees, volunteers delivered them directly to the Lismore and Ballina Hospitals, where they will go straight to local children receiving care. Knowing these Supertees will provide comfort, smiles and a little superhero magic for kids in our own community made today's efforts even more meaningful.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who generously gave their time to support this special initiative. Together, we packed more than just Supertees. We packed hope, comfort and a reminder to local children and their families that their community is right behind them every step of the way. ❤️
