What a busy busy day today was, shooting our Rozelle project with Sydney Photographer & Creative . Here’s some mobile shots, proper photos to follow.

Hero of the day was Marcus Hay with amazing styling! 🤩🌸

Thank you to Mecque and Marc-Et. for beautiful accessories! ❤️

I’m particularly proud of the cabinet behind the splashback. It required a lot of thought, but it keeps the kitchen tidy and neat, plus there’s nearly 900mm deep drawers under!

Also, I love the bathroom tiles from livingtiles - we used them horizontally and vertically. Which one is your favourite?

PS. The house is for sale - in case you’re on the market for a house with a fantastic kitchen and bathrooms.

Big day at the Sydney Design Show Australia and so much fun to catch up with friends, colleagues and industry people!

I tried to do my best to check all the new stuff at each stand - lots of nerdy joinery hardware photos here. 🤓

Transforming an entryway for a young family in Newtown, Sydney, was an exciting challenge!

In the beginning the hallway was an uninspiring entrance. The entry was cramped by an under-stairs laundry. We removed floor tiles and replaced them with timber flooring. We made the laundry smaller by removing a nib wall that poked too far into the entrance. This allowed us to incorporate a broom cabinet, overhead skateboard storage, along with shoe drawers, shelving, and additional concealed storage all in the same area. We added a shelf for hats, a bench, and a few hooks, and the hallway became a functional and welcoming entrance.

Thoughtful joinery, improved flow, and carefully planned storage transformed this dark terrace into a calm and functional forever home for a young family – without the need for demolition.

Our last day in Milan felt like the universe was on our side — full of beauty, kindness, unexpected joy, and just good luck! ✨

L’Appartamento by was pure magic. Every room layered with exquisite pieces, thoughtfully curated and styled with such richness — it was gorgeous everywhere.

The V***e Clicquot “Chasing the Sun” exhibition completely surprised me. Immersed in warm yellow light, listening to the artist speak about joy and optimism was a deeply emotional moment and I could feel my mood shift. I walked out lighter, happier, and a little more open to wonder.

A beautiful lunch hosted by followed - thank you!

And generally somehow the day just kept unfolding in our favour — every restaurant had a table waiting, taxis appeared exactly when needed, and queues seemed to vanish before us.

If only every day was this easy… but perhaps that’s what makes days like this so special! 💛

Milano Design Week

My favorite stand at Salone this year was Kartell’s art installation. 🤩

Generally so many beautiful details throughout — glass tables, warm whites, rich autumn tones, and soft, rounded shapes everywhere.

Ending the day at Cosentino’s cocktail party at their AXIS installation by Tom Dixon felt just right. 🥂

So much eye candy today!! 🍬🩷

I preferred the bathroom displays today at the Salone. The kitchen department was just too crazy busy!! 😳

Maybe it’s me, but everything cool was either really colourful (with matte finish) or rounded, or both. On the other hand there were natural materials and hues (but yes, still rounded).

Back tomorrow for knee pain and furniture!
