Cross stitch. You’ve seen the kits, you’ve watched the videos, you’ve always wanted to try it, but you don’t know where to start.

My next Cross Stitch Basics online workshop runs on Sunday 8 November and there’s still time to join from anywhere in Australia!

During the class you will learn about materials used in counted cross stitch, the basic stitches, how to read a pattern, and most importantly, how to start.

Join before Sunday to receive your workshop kit with all the materials you’ll need for the class. Comment CROSS STITCH and I’ll send you the link.

French knot mastered? Why not add the colonial knot to your embroidery toolkit?

These knots are similar, but the colonial knot has its own little technique to learn. Once you get the hang of it, you’ll have another way to add tiny dots and texture to your stitching projects.

There’s a new bird in town!

I couldn’t resist adding another fairy-wren to the collection, and this time it’s the Superb Fairy-wren.

This cross stitch kit launches in just a couple of weeks, on October 6 and you can pre-order now to add him to your stitching pile.

Say hello to Koala Claus, the newest addition to my Christmas cross stitch collection and the perfect companion to our Tree-Rex, Kookaburra Angel and Tangled in Christmas cat.

Koala Claus launches this October, so get ready to add a little koala cuteness to your Christmas.

Learning embroidery is a lot more fun when your practice piece is this pretty!

Our Heart Sampler features fourteen different stitches, so you’ll learn new skills, build your confidence, and create something beautiful that you’ll want to display when you’re finished.

I’ve been on a bit of a Jane Austen binge lately, and I’ve also wanted to host a stitchalong for what feels like forever. So I thought, why not combine the two?

And so, the Pride and Prejudice stitchalong was born.

If you’re an Austen fan, a cross stitcher, or ideally both, I’d love for you to join me.

I’ll be sharing more details soon, but in the meantime comment STITCHALONG to join the waitlist.

I’m working on a new embroidery project, and I’m planning to have it ready for The Finders Keepers Market in Melbourne next month.

I have the design, I’m preparing the fabric, and I think I’m decided on the thread palette. (Although I never really know whether it’s right untilI start stitching.) and now comes the fun part, deciding which stitches to use and seeing it come to life.

Want to see how it turns out? Follow along.
