If you want to make a fun and fast quilt without appliqué or stitchery, I have created a pieced quilt using my Appleby Farm fabric collection named ‘Down on Appleby Farm’. It has a centre panel with all things farming, then a series of pieced borders. This is a free quilt pattern available on my website. You can grab a fabric pack for this quilt here (with or without backing) or from your local patchwork store.

Just some of the many quilts on display at the Sydney Quilt Show at Rosehill…..a feast for the eyes!!! It is the last day today, so come along if you can. A great showcase of amazingness 😍

It has been a whirlwind since arriving home and we are now at the beautiful Sydney Quilt Show at Rosehill Racecourse.
Day 1 was yesterday and it was so good catching up with so many! Another two days to go, and I’m hoping to explore all of the amazing quilts on display from so many talented women 🤩

I am now home and back at my studio, and so excited to say my latest fabric range ‘Appleby Farm’ has arrived!!! Yayay!!
It should also be found at your local patchwork shop, do pay them a visit!!
There are 20 fabrics in this range, along with a stitchery panel (with 30 stitcheries to stitch!) in two different colourways, and also a 108” wide backing fabric!
I have created a large quilt (The Goat, The Goose, and a Cow Called Bruce) which is ready to go, and am busily cutting bundles and meterage.
There is also a free downloadable pattern for which I have kits for, and will have more to show soon. So much going on here!! 🥳

We head back home today after our extensive time away, and I think we are all ready to have a relaxing holiday!! What a whirlwind of a trip!!! 😂
Of course we had to visit Stone Henge, a bucket list moment for Pete, before heading back to London. Here, we completed doing a few things we didn’t do when we first arrived, like the changing of the guards, Covent Gardens (loved the colours of Neal’s Yard there), Harrods, a few shows (Mousetrap, London’s longest running Agatha Christie show (74 yrs!) and The Play that Went Wrong), plus Tate Modern to see the Frida Kahlo exhibit, then Brick Lane and a Jack The Ripper tour.
Thank you UK for so many great memories!! I feel as though we did SOOOO much, but haven’t even touched the surface. Ready for that sleep on the plane now 😉

We have just spent a couple of days in Falmouth, a very different fishing village to St Ives …..more industry here, along with so many galleries!
On our way back up toward London and decided to visit gorgeous Polperro, yet again a very different fishing village in Cornwall ….very quaint and so interesting exploring each place we come to…..So special 🥰

Lucky we packed for all seasons! St Ives in Cornwall was so sunny and yet again, a totally different landscape!
We have had three days of taking in the sights here with lots of coastal views, the hugest seagulls I have ever seen, and lots of local artists, along with more narrow alleyways of gorgeousness!
We are certainly so lucky to have had such perfect weather! Another beautiful place to visit if ever you can.
Also, a quick update on my latest fabric range Appleby Farm…..it is finally being sent out to shops, so look out for it!! We will have it on our website if you have trouble finding it at your local store.

On heading down to St Ives in Cornwall, we stopped off at two places along the way.
The first was the incredible vision of Jo’s… ‘Cowslip Workshops’…. a wonderful place to visit in Launceston UK, with her wonderful patchwork shop, along with a few other small businesses, and her delicious cafe. We were very spoilt on her farm and had so much fun looking around.
Our second stop was Port Isaac (yes, for all you Doc Martin fans!), where we explored the streets for a few hours, then hunted for buried treasure (I was told by a customer at Poppy Patch about Pirate Glass on the beach at Port Isaac, so we looked, and found! It was like finding gold!! 😂). Two great places to visit if ever you are lucky enough to have the chance!
