Based in Bathurst, Lupstone (Loop-Stone) is a family collaboration between Dad, Richard Hailstone, and my hubby and I, Alex and Kelly Lupish. Our candles are a bit of fun-we have full time jobs- and are our way to support Dad as his mobility deteriorates from having polio as a child. While we work Dad potters in his shed and makes the bowls and after work and on weekends we pour the wax. All our c

andles are unique and we don't claim perfection, this is about family and fun-not making a fortune. Our volumes are very small and production slow, we sell in small batches as life allows and take very limited orders.

Sorry long post incoming!!

There’s something special about the way my Dad and his mate Marc show up for each other— just two blokes who understand the value of keeping their hands busy, giving each other stick, pushing each other to keep moving and to keep laughing.

Marc lives with multiple sclerosis, but if you know him, you know he’s never let it define him. He’s a timber craftsman with over 56 years’ experience and a gift for turning raw timber into something truly special. We think he’s pretty special because of his grit and determination, he has become a great mate and support to Dad which we are so grateful for.

We’re helping Marc to showcase this sustainably sourced recycled hardwood console table which he handcrafted over several weeks. Don’t miss the opportunity to support Marc and help him keep doing what he loves most: creating beautiful things with his own hands. Due to some minor imperfections in the glass top Marc has reluctantly reduced this one-off piece from $1,500 to $950.
