🧳⛵️Travel the world in one little area of one little shop in one little town✈️🚢

We have a new vignette for you! This one area contains treasures from all over the world, Italy, America, Phillipines, England, Thailand, Germany. Kylie and I got our aspirations confused with our capabilities over the last couple of days. What started as a small idea for refreshing one area turned into an exhausting full overhaul of the store that was still being negotiated at 8:55am this morning. We hope that you enjoy all the changes we've made, this one was our biggest!

🤵‍♂️🎩Can a man have sass?......absolutely, Barry does!💥🫅

He is lively, he is bold, he is full of spirit but most of all he is cheeky. Like most people that are sassy, when he enters the store, you are aware of his presence immediately and you better be on your game. I reckon he has lived many lives and probably done a heck of a lot more in this life than I know about. I love this photo of Barry because it typifies him, a man who can outwit me on even my smartarsiest day, he has no fear, he enjoys life and by all accounts he is a fabulous decorator. Thankyou Barry for supporting our store since the very beginning, I hope the kids like your tiger.✌❤

💃🕺One lovely lady, one little table and a bloody hopeless PR person!🏆🏁

This is Renee, Renee calls in irregularly and has a quick roam around the shop while her husband Mark gets his bibs and bobs from Supercheap on a Sunday. It is always a great chat with Renee catching up on what we have both done in the last couple of weeks. However today as I was cleaning this little Art Deco table and chatting away I was unaware that Renee had been enamored by said table, took a photo and as she walked out the door she said "I'll show Mark", then the phone call came, "I will be in this afternoon". So I quickly finished cleaning and planned to get a photo because Renee has bought a few things from here and I have never once got a photo. But then she showed up with Mark who interrupted Bathurst to come and get it and my scattered mind went, "Be quick, don't talk too much, you are interrupting the race, how many laps are we at?" and I forgot the photo. And yet again I have text one of our clients begging for a photo, so thank you Renee for the photo and loving this little table, thank you Mark for interrupting the big race and thank you puppy for photo bombing!✌️❤️

🌟🌷Please welcome Kylie🌷🌟
After 20 years in the transport industry as an accomplished operator, driving two up to Darwin, transporting heavy haulage around Australia and heavy rigid combinations around Brisbane, she is now coming to sell cool old stuff with me.
Why you may ask....well firstly because I asked her after a few ales at her birthday party😆but she had already considered easing back her career for more time with her beautiful family.
Kylie and I have worked together on and off for 15 years now. We have measured electrical lines throughout South East Queensland together, we have polished trucks together, we have drunk rum together. You will not meet a more genuine, honest and kind person and I am very fortunate that she has decided to work with me again.✌❤

Today on display are two stunning Italian table lamps.
1. A ceramic 1960s table lamp decorated in a Florentine gilt motif, standing 42cm high. $180.00
Atop is an embroidered velvet shade with mirrored fringe from Humble Living - $250.00
2. An early 20th century alabaster lamp, decorated in a Greco-Roman style using acanthus leaves and fluting. The alabaster has a slight pink hue in areas adding to its appeal and it stands 35cm high. - $175.00
Sitting above is a Starfire pagoda shade from Voglio Bene, France. - $250.00
Shade and lamp can be purchased seperately.

Today's statement piece👔🆒✨
This is an extremely well made 1920s/30s oak office chair. The swivel mechanism is in full working order. The rattan insert is in great condition. If you would like to add a bit of old world charm to your office, this is a lovely, functional piece of furniture - $350.00

Fiona on her high horse

This morning, enjoying my cuppa, chatting to my husband with the television on in the background, my interior design ear caught "That is maybe the best room I've ever seen", I quickly spun around to see Darren Palmer and Shaynna Blaze from the "The Block" oohing and aarhhing over a room decorated in 52 shades of beige. What are we doing here folks????
So that show already annoys me because if they gave you or I $50,000 and a heap of free tradies, I think we could come up with something amazing, however this proves to me that they are from another planet. Now, I know I will probably offend some fans of the show, but come on, best room ever from an Interior Design superstar. I studied through the Interior Design Institute which included a Darren Palmer master series. Good bloke, great advice but how can the use of no colour whatsoever amaze him? What's your theme? Beige. What colours are on your mood board? Beige. What inspires you? Beige
Colour is a beautiful thing whether used boldly or subtly. I hope you have colour in your world and you are inspired by the beautiful nature that surrounds us, because mother nature provides us with the best colour palette. ✌❤
PS: Don't even get me started on Darren and Shaynna go to Italy and impress themselves with what they do😂

When a cupboard calls you😻👩‍🎤
Pia and James called in to store, looking for that piece that Pia felt belonged to her. They inspected, measured and talked. To reassure themselves they went for a drive and during that drive, Pia rang me and said they were coming back to get our art deco buffet. I'm glad our old girl spoke to you Pia, I hope that you and James are happy with her and thank you for your repeated business, it is always a pleasure. ✌❤

🎂🎊Michael got a birthday present!🎈🎁

Now Michael is unsure whether it shall go in the shed or the study? I'm sure when it gets home, he will have quite the conundrum for a time until the final decision is made.
