People of the hills:
The good folk at Little Hendrix Cafe are putting on a fundraiser for this years Belgrave Lantern Festival. This will be held at 1st Belgrave Scout Hall located at 28 Station st, Belgrave.
Lots of amazing food on offer including pizza, biryani, afghan breads, BBQ and more with GF options.
I'll be donating my time, setting up PA and decks and spinning some background tunes while you chow down on some delicious food. Come mingle, have a chinwag and support this amazing event.

Our wonderful Ticker resident artist will be running amazing workshops from his space behind Ticker as part of open studios . The art shed with Ge Manofdarkness

Street artist George Manioudakis will be running daily stencil art workshops over both Open Studios weekends.

Join George for one of his hands-on workshops at Studio 22, where you can learn how to create your public artworks with stencils and spray paint.

Daily workshops: Stencil Art
Create your own public art using stencils and spray paint
Start: 1:00PM
Duration: 60mins
Cost: $10 (bookings required)

George Manioudakis is a multi-disciplinary visual artist whose diverse art practice sees him working in acrylics, oils and spray paint both in the studio and on the streets. George is currently exploring the materiality of paper through the process of layering.

Hello Everyone ,
We wanted to update you all on the fire we had at Ticker Art studio just before christmas .
It's been a stressful period of waiting and not knowing.
The fire was sadly much worse than we all first thought . Whilst the front looks untouched the back of the building has been deemed unsafe and lost.
We have been told the space is going to be rebuilt but they claim it is going to take 6-12 months. Unfortunately this means our doors will remain shut while the space is being rebuilt.. Several of the studios and workshop spaces have been severely damaged and the loss of fabric, machinery, stock, art materials and original artwork exceeds our insurance.
Our studio artists and workshop teachers have lost their work space, livelihood and we are all heartbroken.
Thank you to everyone for reaching out and for your support so far.
We are looking for a temporary home or the option of containers we can convert to work out of in the car park while we rebuild. Any leads or contacts would be greatly appreciated.
Our lovely friends have started a go fund me page which will help us give back to all the artists that have lost so much. The possibility to help rehome us and keep us going so we have a business to reopen.
