Some beautiful flowers for a beautiful couple.

We created some gorgeous white bouquets for the bride and bridesmaids, along with a stunning arbour arrangement, floor arrangements and table centrepieces. The flowers turned out magical, and matched with the atmosphere of the day.

❤️Valentine’s Day ❤️ has always been one of the biggest days in a florist’s calendar.

For nearly 30 years in this industry — and at one stage owning two shops — I’ve seen the romance from both sides of the counter.

Even when i stepped away from the Flower Bench i usually stepped back to help friends in their stores.

To customers, it’s roses, surprise deliveries, grand gestures and love stories.

Behind the scenes? It’s 3am starts. Midnight finishes. Hands covered in thorn scratches. Sore shoulders. Swollen fingers. Tight muscles. Living on takeaway and adrenaline. Missing dinner with your own loved ones. Sometimes not sleeping at all. But I LOVED it! I thrived on these days! So much planning and coordination coming together!

There’s this illusion that florists make an absolute fortune on days like Valentine’s Day and Mother's day. The reality is long days, high pressure, fragile stock, last-minute orders and a whole lot of physical exhaustion. Yes, it’s beautiful helping people express love — but it comes at a cost.

And over time, that’s part of what gently steered me toward Beautiful Budget Bouquets and Realistic Artificial Flowers.

I still get to help people celebrate love. I still get to design beautiful arrangements. But now the flowers don’t wilt. The pressure isn’t tied to a 24-hour window. And the love they represent lasts so much longer.

What I’ve learnt after all these years is this:
❤️ Love shouldn’t be rushed.
It shouldn’t be saved up for one day.
And it definitely shouldn’t only be spoken on February 14th.
Your special person should know how much they’re loved on an ordinary Tuesday. On the quiet days. On the tired days. In the everyday moments.
That’s the kind of love that truly lasts.
And maybe that’s why I love what I do now even more 💛
