I don’t know flower names!
And you don’t need to because when you send me your Pinterest board, I’m not looking for specific flowers.

I’m looking at colours.Shapes.Movement.The overall mood.

You don’t need to know if it’s a ranunculus, a tulip or a lisianthus. You just need to know how you want your day to feel. Like… romantic, calm, easy.

This morning I was back at the flower market with seeing what’s fresh and beautiful right now.
What’s in season. What’s looking gorgeous. What’s giving main character energy.

Because that’s how I design, with flowers at their absolute best.

And if you’re curious what different seasons look like in real life, go to the website and click on Real Weddings. You can browse by season and see what’s naturally available throughout the year. It makes planning so much easier.

So if you’ve ever thought, “I don’t know a rose from a dahlia…”, you’re in the right place.

Let me know in the comments if this helped.Share it with someone who needs to hear this. And follow along if you love seeing what’s in season and a little behind-the-scenes at the market 🌿

When flowers get personal, this is what happens.

Tables are where your guests linger, eat, drink and soak in your day. Thoughtful styling ties the whole wedding together, making your reception feel warm, inviting and cohesive.

Picture this: an eclectic mix of bud vases filled with the sweetest posies, paired with candles. It works beautifully with alternating drop and share-style platters. Easy, generous and perfect for reception tables.

Our signature touch? Where soft seasonal blooms meet textural and sculptural for that relaxed, gathered-from-the-garden feel.

We created this for Siobhan and Matthew at Adam’s Peak. The perfect backdrop for our signature florals and flickering candlelight. Warm, layered and romantic.

If this feels like your kind of table, the enquiry link is waiting in our bio 🤍

Be the Bride’s lifesaver. 🧡

Wedding mornings can get chaotic. Shoes vanish, nerves hit, calls keep coming… and that’s where you step in.

5 bridesmaid hacks:

1️⃣ Take over the bride’s phone
Answer calls, filter texts and only pass on important ones. Let her sip her mimosa and enjoy all the moments.

2️⃣ Pack a survival kit
Snack, water, Panadol, fashion tape, tissues, floss, tampons, stain wipes… because, well, you never know.

3️⃣ Ask how to pin the train
Sounds simple… until everyone’s watching. Learn the steps, practice, maybe even film it.

4️⃣ Be the calm in the room
Your mood is contagious. If you’re chill, she’ll be chill. Remove the problem, take a deep breath and smile if the stress hits.

5️⃣ Say what she needs to hear…
“You look beyond incredible. I’m so proud of you. You’ve got this.”

She chose you because you’re her people. Being that person is the best job ever.

Experience is everything.

It’s how it feels to work with someone before, during, and after the wedding day.

It’s the calm once you book.
The clarity while planning.
The support when decisions pop up.
And feeling completely looked after on the day.

Here’s what Siobhan said:
“Megan did an absolutely incredible job… she made the process so smooth, easy, and simple… the bouquets were beautiful, thoughtful, and perfectly suited to our day.”

So when I say experience is everything, this is what I mean:
Yes, the flowers will be beautiful but the ease, trust and care around them matter just as much.

Follow for glorious flowers and a wonderful experience.
Share with someone who knows how important that feeling is 💚

The things I know for sure.

This year I celebrate 32 years married to my best friend. A perfect time for reflection.

I loved my bouquet.
Bright, colourful, full of flowers including tulips… my favourite.

Would I have the same one again?
I’d describe it the same. Full of colour, plenty of variety but it would be different because:
Different florist. Different techniques. Different time.

I had three different bridesmaid colours and I’d absolutely do that again.
But this time I’d give them a palette and let them choose what felt like them.

Our reception tables were simple.
Mostly candles with a little greenery.
I’d 100% do candles again, but more of them.
Candles bring mood, warmth and romance.
The more the merrier, in my book.

We drove past our church recently and both agreed, we never felt connected to it.
On the other hand, our daughter married on a property we’ve camped at for years.
It just felt like home and you could feel that on the day.

And that’s the lesson I’ve learned.

Weddings don’t have to tick every box to be perfect.
There will always be parts you will love and a few things you’d do different.

It’s about choosing what feels right for you in the moment, trusting the choices and letting yourself enjoy it all.

Not high maintenance. Just curated 😜

That’s how I do wedding flowers.
Every bouquet, flower pin, ceremony arrangement and table design is picked for your day, your space and the feel you’re after.

Nothing is random. Nothing is just because.
Everything is planned, thought through, meant to be.

With all the flower detail handled, all that’s left, is you enjoying your day.

Follow along for wedding inspo, share with someone who loves a little curation, or tell me… what’s been your favourite part of planning so far? 💚

5 things I’d do differently with my wedding flowers 🌼

1. Choose seasonal, locally grown blooms.
They’re fresher, fuller and more cost-effective than imported varieties. Seasonal flowers just make sense for a wedding that’s beautiful and considered.

2. Invest in the most photographed areas.
Your bouquets and ceremony are where memories and photos happen. Allocate most of your floral budget there.

3. Plan for reuse.
Opt for ceremony flowers that can be repurposed at the reception. Entry displays, head table, or bar features. It maximizes impact and value.

4. Balance flowers and candles.
Use statement arrangements on some tables and candles on the rest. The mix creates romance, warmth and interest without overspending.

5. Trust your florist’s expertise.
Share your colours and the feeling you want, then step back. Less specificity = thoughtful choices = smarter floral investment.

These ‘bouts’ were made for walking 🎵

Flower pins (boutonnières) might be small but they’re a snapshot of the whole wedding. Each one is created like a mini bouquet, to complement the day perfectly.

This flower pin for Alex came with a very specific request: Bird of Paradise. A bold personality flower, big in every way. Before it could make its way down the aisle, it needed a little reworking… deconstructed, then wired back together to keep all the drama, without the bulk.

If you love the details, follow along.
Share this with someone who notices the little things.
Because it’s never just a flower pin, the small things make the big story.

Eco-conscious wedding flowers, without the sacrifice.

Being eco-conscious isn’t about being perfect.
It’s about intention, awareness and making thoughtful choices that still result in something beautiful.

Here are a few ways I walk lightly when creating your wedding flowers:

🌱 Australian-grown, seasonal flowers first
Around 99% of the flowers I use are local and seasonal.
That means supporting growers, reducing footprint and often enjoying fresher, premium blooms grown responsibly.

🌱 Refuse, reduce, reuse, repurpose, recycle
Full disclosure, it’s hard to avoid flowers wrapped in plastic while growers rely on it to protect blooms.
Beyond that, I design foam-free, reuse floral mechanics, repurpose arrangements where possible and recycle all wrapping.

🌱 Rainwater collection
My studio is fitted with a rainwater tank and all buckets, vases and arrangements are filled using collected water.

🌱 Composting green waste
All green waste is composted. No landfill here.

🌱 Foam-free, always
I never use floral foam, preferring to work with reusable mechanics like flower frogs, chicken wire and floral wool bricks when needed.

Because I know beautiful, thoughtful flowers and caring for the planet is possible.

Follow for more thoughtful flowers, share with someone who cares and let me know if there’s a way we could tread even lighter 💚

A wedding without flowers is just a meeting.

No flowers.
No mood.
No moment.
No memories.

Flowers aren’t extra.
They bring the colour, the difference and tell your love story without a single word.

And when someone says, “But they cost an arm and a leg!”
Asking for a friend… what does an arm and a leg go for these days? 💁‍♀️

Whatever it is, feels like a fair trade to me and one most couples are happy to make.

Follow if this made you smile,

or drop a note if I missing something. 💚
