The details you don’t see are often the ones that matter most.

When it comes to profiled cabinet doors, we choose to manufacture them in 21mm rather than the more standard 18mm thickness.

Why?

A thicker door provides greater rigidity and stability, helping to reduce the risk of movement over time. It also creates a more substantial, premium feel and allows the profile to be cut with better proportions and definition.

Yes, it costs us more to manufacture.

But we believe quality joinery should still look and perform beautifully years after it’s installed—not just on handover day.

At Everlong Joinery, we don’t cut corners on the things that matter. Because true craftsmanship is built into every detail.

Have you ever noticed how some cabinetry feels more solid than others? Often, it’s the details you can’t immediately see that make all the difference.

What does bespoke joinery mean to you?

To us, it’s the difference between a room that looks finished and a room that feels exceptional.

While standard cabinetry is designed to fit most homes, bespoke joinery is designed exclusively for yours. Every detail is carefully considered—from proportions and materials to storage and functionality—creating a seamless, high-end result that feels effortlessly luxurious.

It’s the tall panels that draw your eye upward. The perfectly aligned grain. The shadow lines, integrated handles and custom finishes. The way everything fits precisely, without fillers or compromises.

Luxury isn’t just about expensive materials—it’s about thoughtful design, craftsmanship and attention to detail.

The result? Spaces that feel calm, refined and timeless. Joinery that not only looks beautiful, but adds value to the way you live every day.

That’s the beauty of bespoke joinery.

Luxury isn’t bought off the shelf. It’s crafted.

At Everlong Joinery, the difference is often in the things you don’t immediately see.

It’s why we use premium Blum Legrabox drawer systems as standard across all of our projects — engineered to carry up to 70kg per drawer, compared to many standard systems that carry only around half that weight. Because cabinetry should feel as good in 15 years as it does on day one.

It’s why we build with solid ladder kickboards instead of adjustable plastic feet. Creating cabinetry with greater strength, stability and longevity.

It’s why we use 21mm thick doors across all of our profiled cabinetry for added strength, stability and durability over time — a detail we’ll share more about in a separate post.

It’s why we take the time during installation to obsess over alignment, spacing, shadow lines and every final detail.

And it’s why our wardrobes feature solid backs, sides and bases — instead of mullion style installation methods often hidden behind beautiful finishes as a cost-saving measure.

When comparing quotes, it’s easy to compare what’s visible:
Colours. Stone. Handles. Layouts.

But true quality lives beneath the surface — in the craftsmanship, the materials, the hardware and the care taken at every stage.

At Everlong, we believe good joinery should not only look beautiful, but stand the test of time.

If you’ve ever hesitated to share your budget — you’re not alone.

A lot of people think holding it back gives them control.
In reality, it usually does the opposite.

When we don’t know your budget, we’re designing without context.
And that’s when you end up with options that either overshoot… or underdeliver.

At Everlong, budget isn’t about “how much can we spend?”
It’s about how do we make the most of what you’re comfortable investing.

Because good joinery isn’t just about how it looks —
it’s about getting the balance right from the start.

Planning a project? Start with the right budget.

Choosing the right natural stone isn’t just about how it looks—it’s about how it lives in the space.

We’ve broken down the most common stones and how they perform in real homes → swipe to learn more.

From marble to dolomite, every stone has a different composition, durability and level of maintenance. One of the key ways we assess this is through the Mohs Hardness Scale.

The Mohs Scale ranks minerals from 1–10 based on their resistance to scratching:
• 1–3: Softer stones (more prone to scratching & etching)
• 4–6: Medium hardness (balanced durability)
• 7+: Hard stones (ideal for high-use areas like kitchens)
For example, marble sits on the softer end—beautiful but more delicate—while quartzite is significantly harder and better suited to busy family kitchens.

There’s no one-size-fits-all. The right choice comes down to how you use your space, your lifestyle, and the kind of patina (or perfection) you’re comfortable with.
At Everlong Joinery, we help you select materials that not only look beautiful—but perform for years to come.
