The hardest part of this job was photographing this geometric velvet fabric! 📸 😅 But what a stunner in person!✨There’s something rather beguiling about a vintage piece like this.
Beautifully figured timber sculptured arms now wrapped in a stunning emerald green geometric velvet.
The result feels less like a “before and after” and more like a resurrection. The original character remains firmly intact, but the new upholstery gives it an entirely different rhythm.
A piece with presence. 💚A touch of eccentricity. 💚And absolutely no intention of blending into the background.🙌

We’ve been busy with so many great projects that we have lacked time to post them. 🫣 We didn’t want to miss the opportunity to show these stunning chairs we finished over autumn. 🍂 🍁 🤩 These comfy chairs are now elegant dining chairs. Reupholstered in a gorgeous green leather look vinyl to bring the sophistication. Some pieces that come through our workshop become much more than furniture.

This beautiful bentwood armchair was recently reupholstered in a soft sage gum nut fabric for one of our treasured regular clients. Over the years, we had the privilege of restoring several pieces for her home, each one carefully chosen and deeply loved.

Sadly, she has since passed away, making this chair one of the last projects we completed for her.

Working on heirloom furniture often reminds us that upholstery is about more than fabric, springs, and timber. Furniture becomes part of the stories we live. It witnesses family conversations, quiet mornings with a cup of tea, celebrations, and moments of reflection. Long after we’re gone, these pieces can continue carrying those memories forward.

We feel honoured to have played a small part in preserving something that was clearly cherished. It’s a reminder that restoration isn’t just about renewing furniture; it’s about respecting the memories, history, and people connected to it.

This chair now stands as a beautiful tribute to a lovely, cheerful, kind and generous client who will be remembered fondly and missed greatly.

Some projects are extra special 💚🌼

Our client brought us this beautiful floral fabric that had belonged to her mum and had been carefully tucked away in a cupboard for many years. Wanting to honour those memories while giving it a new life, we worked together to find the perfect way to feature it in these chairs.

We chose to use the floral fabric on the back panels, helping to protect and preserve it for years to come, while adding such a lovely personal touch and character to each piece. Paired with this vibrant green fabric , the chairs feel fresh, full of warmth, and beautifully unique.

There’s something so meaningful about weaving family stories into furniture that can be loved and used every day ✨

Our client brought us a pair of mid-century modern Danish deluxe armchairs that once belonged to their mother. Originally covered in a classic floral, these pieces held decades of memories… but it was time for a new chapter.🪑🩵🪑
The clean lines of the timber frame are elevated by the richness of the colour, creating a statement that is both timeless and quietly bold.
We reupholstered the chairs in a refined cerulean blue natural linen . A fabric choice that is both elegant and considered. By selecting a natural fibre, our client made a conscious move away from synthetic fabrics and microplastics, without compromising on style. 🌿🌍
Pieces that no longer just belong to a memory, but actively shape a space.
