I have been a little MIA recently but l can assure you that l have been doing more than indulging my current Needlepoint love 🪡

I am trying to find the right balance between personal projects, designing projects for Lilabelle Lane, building up and life, being there for my family and taking care of my own health.

Today l am heading to Melbourne to spend the day with my daughter ❤️ filling my cup and spending quality time with one of my favourite people. We are going to go to multilpe 'Escape Rooms' .... ok ..... they are really book shops and yarn stores which are equally hard to leave 😀

I have capital 'F' self finished all four of my current Needlepoint projects and l am so happy with how they have turned out.

I can now have a guilt free new needlepoint start as l have no current needlepoint projects 😀 l can't say that about quilting projects though but that has never stopped me starting something new 🤣

I am using Liberty Tana Lawns with a deep Navy linen background to make the Liberty prints POP. I am already dreaming of a second version in pink or maybe an all Betsy version 💖

I haven't had this project out for a bit so 'today me' got a smile out of 'past me' and the tiny fussy cutting. 😍

I have another 40ish blocks prepared and in a zipper pouch so l can do a lucky dip for the next block whenever l fell like sewing another.

My current view on this Thursday afternoon 💛💙

I am playing with my mustard and blue Liberty prints. How cute is this Hello Kitty print 😻 l am not sure where this project is going yet, l am just enjoying one of my favourite colour combos!

I am also playing with some pretty pink Liberty prints and can confirm that things are progressing there and a new design may just be in the works.

I do love a pile of fussy cut stars that are destined for a quilt BUT what l am not loving so much is/was my decision to change my background colour 😳

At the Speckled background pieces have now been reversed stitched and are being replaced with the new Fairy Floss print from Tula Pink ❤️

Hopefully more progress soon and l will feel like l am moving forward on my 'Spinning Stars Quilt'.
