My tiniest work yet! This fits on a coin.
Designed and crafted in wood locally by myself, with a tiny shingled roof and even tinier stained 'glass' (resin) windows.
This was quite challenging and time consuming, and I have only managed to complete one so far, but I love it.
This original piece will be available for sale tomorrow (Saturday 22nd August) at Coburg Town Hall.
We're stall 15 in the main hall, do come and say hello!

My latest design, slide 1, next to a 20 cent coin for scale, slide 2, under glass!
This is the tiniest wooden house I have made so far and it's taken more than a moment.
I know little things in domes are hardly new, but, do keep in mind this is made from wood (not card, not resin, not 3d printed), and is designed and made by myself, in my workshop.
At this stage I have just 1 of these finished that I will be bringing to The Dark Alchemy Expo on Saturday!!!

This past week or so my little buddy Mortimer has been helping with the design of something I've had on my to do list for absolutely ages.

Cutting out some cute little ghosts (and bats) for 'feet' on the bases of some new haunted little houses.
One of the ways I use my wood offcuts to reduce wastage.
We'll be vending at a number of locations over the coming weeks - check out the pinned upcoming events post and come see the latest creations!!

Slide 1 - Now you see them, Slide 2 - Now, not so much, Slide 3 - Now you see them in the dark! (This view is the interior of the walls, so the houses glow from within and from the windows).

I've made a small number of my wearable wooden miniatures with glow in the dark resin windows and glow paint interiors, just for a bit of fun and to see if people like them!
They do require 'charging' in a little sunlight or with a uv light to get the best out of them after dark.
They will debut at Witches of Macedon next Bendigo event on 25th July, and if people like them I may make some more for future events.

Soooooo, let's play a game!
After some serious stuff first . . . .
I know - it's been a minute & I've not been posting much work 🤨
I don't share much personal stuff, but I will just say, there's been a lot going on (including a family member fighting the big C which of course has been a priority, as well as my own health issues, and so much more, sigh).
That said I have been very, VERY, hard at work behind the scenes.
I always have 10-20 concepts in various stages of design and build in the workshop (thanks brain!) and am planning on introducing a number of these across the rest of the events we are attending this year! 🥳

Check out each of the slides and try to guess the projects! (Answers will be below, slides first - scroll after)
1. Finally, the dome project is coming together. From reasonably small houses, down to pushing the limits on how tiny the wood can be cut, there will be a handful of designs and sizes to fit any bookcase or cabinet! Less dusting of haunted little houses - winning, yes?

2. Houses in trees 🌳
Yes, I've done one of these before, yes, I have more that I started well over a year ago 😳, yes I am back to working on finishing them!

3. While I am pushing limits on how much detail I can retain at tiny proportions, I do have some larger houses in the works.

4. Things that have an eerie glow in the dark - because why the hell not!! Resin and paint that add some fun.

5. Palm size or pocket size? Just be careful not to crush them 😯 Tiny buildings for those that love our wearable miniature houses, but not into having them dangling from their
ear lobes.

And just a reminder - these are all wood based, assembled by hand and carefully hand decorated and finished by myself.
