If these doors could talk.

So when I travel, doors seem to be my favourite image to capture. The more aged it is the more I am drawn to it, can you imagine how many people have passed through everyone of these? I just can’t imagine the stories that belong to these.

This image will be available on my website as an A2 image for a full impact and as a great conversation piece.

Unmoulding is probably the most nerve-racking part of making each piece. You’ve mixed, poured, waited… and then comes the moment you find out whether it’s all worked.

Thankfully, this one behaved. 🤍

Captured in Polignano a Mare, Puglia, 2023.

Imagine lying under the Italian sun, salt still on your skin, surrounded by the hum of a crowded beach. The heat of the stone filled beach, incredible turquoise water and nowhere else you need to be.

The kind of summer memory you wish you could bottle.

Perhaps hanging it on the wall is the next best thing.

‘Willow’

Soft curves, an organic silhouette and little places for the things you reach for every day.

I made this one to feel almost botanical — part jewellery dish, part sculptural object. A place for rings, earrings and those tiny treasures that otherwise seem to wander off.

Hand cast in Whitehaven, with all the subtle variations that come from making each piece individually.

I have a feeling The Willow might become a favourite. 🤍

Would you use her for jewellery — or leave her completely bare?

There’s no point being creative
if you’re trying to look like everyone else.

Make the odd thing.
Try the colour you’re not sure about.
Take the photo nobody else would take.
Change your mind halfway through.

Some of it will work.
Some of it absolutely won’t.

But somewhere in all that experimenting,
you start to recognise your own style.

And that’s the bit worth finding.
