Wow what a weekend. From the looks of our empty shop it seems like there is a lot of happy mums out there enjoying their Bloom Town flowers. We completely sold out. Back to the markets tomorrow to restock with fresh flowers.
A huge thank you to my incredible staff, words can never express my gratitude and how lucky I am to have them. They work so hard and produce the most incredible arrangements, always made with love. I can hardly believe I’m standing here celebrating ten years of my little flower shop. Wow. 💥

I wasn’t even looking for a florist shop. One fateful day in April 2016 I jumped in the car with my husband at the last minute while he was heading to Foodland. I stayed in the car… and as we drove off I spotted an empty shop.

It was just after Easter. I literally jumped out of the car while he was still driving and ran to the window and put my hands on the glass.

I remember this electric energy running through my whole body. In that moment I knew —
I had to have this shop.

And the rest is history.

When I opened the doors a decade ago, I had a huge love for flowers, a lot of hope, no money and absolutely no idea where this journey would lead. What I did know was that I would pour my whole heart and soul into Bloom Town.

I wanted to create a space that felt welcoming, personal and full of care and filled with beautiful, interesting flowers.

This dream simply wouldn’t exist without you.

To our customers — thank you for choosing us, for trusting us with your moments both joyful and difficult and for allowing us to be part of your lives. We’ve made flowers for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, new beginnings and heartfelt goodbyes. It’s a privilege I never take lightly.

To my team, past and present — thank you for your creativity, your hard work and your heart. This shop has been shaped by the people who work in it and I’m incredibly grateful to each of you.

To our local community and fellow small businesses — thank you for supporting local and cheering us on. Running a small business isn’t always easy, but it’s always worth it because of the people around us

When I opened the doors my boys had just turned 4 and 6 so none of this ‘flower dream’ could have been possible without the unwavering support of my husband.

And finally to our incredible flower growers — it’s always such a joy seeing you in the early mornings, having a chat and choosing from the most beautiful fresh produce.

Ten years on, I’m still excited to open the doors each day, still inspired by flowers and still grateful for every single person who walks in.
