Farewell, Platypus Month!

Well, Platypus Month is nearly over, so we thought we'd finish with a little look at some of our favourite platypus things at Birds, Bees & Me! 💙

Our handmade platypus quilt has been hanging in the shop window, and of course our cheeky platypus on the mural has been keeping an eye on things too.

But here's something to look forward to...

By the time Platypus Month rolls around again next year, there'll be a brand-new platypus in town!

The new platypus mural under the bridge will hopefully be finished and ready for everyone to enjoy — adding another little piece of platypus fun to Boorowa. 💙

We can't wait to see it come to life!

Denim, reimagined...

We love giving good old denim jackets a whole new life! 💙

These two have been reimagined with beautiful appliquéd fabrics, turning them into one-of-a-kind pieces that you won't find anywhere else.

👼 The smaller jacket features the sweetest little angels — a lovely bit of whimsy for someone special.

🌹 The larger jacket is covered with gorgeous roses, with most of the detail flowing across the back and beautiful touches on the front too.

Both are one-of-a-kind, handmade and ready for someone to give them a new home.

A little sign that spring is on its way...

There's something pretty special about an early morning in the country. 🌸

The almond trees are bursting into blossom and with the early morning dew still sitting on the petals, they looked absolutely beautiful.

Even Bess, our Border Collie, stopped to take a look. 🐶🌸

Spring is definitely starting to make an appearance around here, and we're not complaining!

Sometimes you just have to stop, take a breath and enjoy the little things. 💗

It may have been a chilly one, but we had a lovely day catching up with familiar faces, meeting new people and supporting our local makers and small businesses.
