She is Lucette.

A name of French origin meaning little light.

Inspired by the timeless rhythm of the French bistro, where mornings begin with coffee and pastries, afternoons stretch into long lunches, and evenings drift slowly toward wine.

The design is intentionally restrained. Bistro chairs, soft buttery tones and natural materials create a calm foundation, layered with small unexpected details that bring a playful edge.

As the day unfolds, light moves gently across the room. A space that shifts with its guests, quiet in the morning and glowing by evening.

French in spirit, created in the heart of Bowral.

Mediterranean ease.

A softer, more open Mediterranean spirit shaped Ormeggio, while keeping the refinement it is known for. A sculpted plaster bar, light timbers and blush tiles create a calm interior that moves slowly and invites lingering. A Mediterranean soul carried lightly on an Australian breeze.

Introducing Cameron House, a freestanding home in Edgecliff shaped by quiet detail and thoughtful intention. The brief focused on reimagining the bedrooms and bathrooms for a client who loves to entertain and surrounds themselves with a beautifully curated art collection. This collection naturally set the tone for the inspiration. I aimed to bring a refined clarity to these spaces, allowing colour, texture and form to speak softly and with purpose.

The design reveals itself gently, room by room. Clean lines settle beside subtle shifts in colour, and neutral foundations are lifted through textural layers that lend depth. The powder room offers the single moment of surprise, where claret red and viola marble create a bold pocket of personality in the spatial narrative.

The result is a home that feels like a lived-in collection, each space shaped with the same clarity and intention as the art that inspired it.

Nostalgia in every corner.

Upstairs at .osteria, the booths were imagined to capture the charm of classic trattorias - coloured timber panelling, bold pattern, and the intimacy of being tucked away together. A setting that feels timeless yet playful, where every detail is made to turn meals into memories.

Café Cressida carries the charm of yesterday with the freshness of today. Random marble floors and rattan chairs ground the space in memory, while hand-painted borders lift it with playful rhythm. Whimsy drifts through the details, nostalgia lingers in the air, every element composed like quiet poetry.

Curves invite, textures whisper. Stone meets timber, tile catches the light. Morning hums through the space – coffee brewing, chairs pulled close. A kitchen made for gathering, where warmth lingers and stories unfold.

Conceived from memory and history, I set out to create a fixture that could have always been here, a chandelier with the quiet grace of another time. Sketched with heritage in mind, it took shape as though it belonged to The Nielsen Kiosk all along. Each shade is wrapped in Ariana Floral Stripe, a circa 1770 French & English woodblock-inspired pattern on soft linen. The same fabric dresses the sconces that hug the bar posts, binding the room in a gentle dialogue between past and present.
Brought to life by the artisans at Trasmitt, it now hangs as if it were always meant to.
