Elements Interior Design Studio

Elements Interior Design Studio Interiors shaped by colour, clarity and emotional wellbeing. Creating spaces that feel calm, intentional and aligned. Calm, balanced, aligned and personal.

Elements Design is the outer expression of my work. After years of working with colour, ingredients, skin, undertones and emotional balance through Organic Earth, I realised that the same principles apply to our homes. Colour, energy and intention change how we feel in a space just as much as they change how we feel in our own skin. Elements Design is where I bring together colour psychology, emot

ional harmony and interior design to create spaces that support the way you want to live. My approach is about more than how a room looks. It’s about how it feels, what it reflects back to you, and how it supports your everyday wellbeing. If Organic Earth is the inner world, Elements Design is the outer one. Together, they form a complete picture of beauty, balance and intentional living.

Starting my day choosing fabrics.
One of the best parts of my job.
Creating calm, cohesive homes starts long before the paint goes on the walls. Every fabric, finish and texture plays a role in the final result.
Today’s palette: soft neutrals, natural textures and timeless layers. Save for renovation inspiration.

It’s a soft warm greige with earthy green beige undertones
Dulux White Duck is one of those colours that surprises people once it’s painted on a larger surface.
Despite the name, it’s not a crisp white.
It’s a soft warm greige with creamy green-beige undertones that creates a more grounded and calming feel in a space.
Beautiful for homes that want warmth, softness and whole-home cohesion without feeling too yellow or stark. More undertone and white paint guidance available through my digital colour guides link in bio.

One of the biggest differences between a home that feels calm and cohesive… and one that feels visually disconnected… is undertones.
When cabinetry, walls, flooring and styling pieces all sit within a similar undertone family, a home naturally feels softer, warmer and more timeless.
It’s rarely about using more colour.
It’s about using colour with intention.
This is exactly why I focus so heavily on undertones and whole-home colour flow when helping clients create cohesive interiors.
Save this for your renovation planning.

Timber Undertones affect every colour choice in your home
One of the biggest mistakes homeowners make is choosing paint colours without considering the undertones in their timber finishes.
Cabinetry veneers, flooring, furniture and joinery all carry warmth, depth and colour variation that influence how whites and neutrals appear throughout a home.
This is why a white paint that looked perfect in-store can suddenly feel cold, yellow or disconnected once paired with timber finishes.
Creating a cohesive palette starts with understanding how materials work together — not choosing everything separately.
Save this for your renovation planning
This is exactly why I created my Colour Clarity Guide - to help homeowners confidently understand undertones and avoid costly mistakes

Bright White Walls Rarely Create Warmth One of the biggest misconceptions in interior design is that brighter white automatically feels cleaner, fresher or more luxurious.
In reality, overly bright whites can often make a home feel cold, flat and disconnected - especially in Australian light.
The homes that feel calm, layered and timeless usually use softer whites with carefully considered undertones.
That subtle warmth is what creates cohesion.
It’s also why choosing white paint can feel surprisingly difficult:
because white is never just white.
Lighting, flooring, joinery, surrounding finishes and natural light all influence how a colour actually appears in a home.
This is exactly why I focus so heavily on undertones and whole-home colour flow when helping clients choose paint selections.
The goal isn’t simply choosing a “nice white”.
It’s creating a home that feels visually calm from room to room.
Save this for your renovation planning or send it to someone currently testing white paint samples.

Most white paints aren’t actually white.
They carry hidden undertones that can make a space feel:— yellow— grey— cold— flat—or beautifully calm and cohesive.
The key isn’t choosing the “perfect white.”It’s understanding the undertone first.
That’s exactly what I teach inside my colour guides.

White Paint Mistakes to avoid
Choosing white paint seems simple until it looks yellow, grey, too stark or completely wrong once it’s on your walls.
The most common mistakes are choosing from photos, ignoring undertones, forgetting natural light, and selecting a white that clashes with your flooring or finishes.
The good news is it’s much easier when you know what to look for.
My guide helps you choose the right white paint the first time. Link in bio.

Why does white paint look yellow in some homes and fresh in others?
It usually comes down to undertones, natural light, and the finishes already in your space.
The good news is once you understand what’s causing it, choosing paint becomes much easier.
I created a FREE guide to help you understand undertones and make more confident colour decisions.
