The Lacunza Loire 800 was only launched in 2025 and it’s quickly become a favourite because of its wide and high view of the fire and big heat output. This one is our Loire 800 Freestanding model installed recently in Bulli but it’s also available in a wider 1000 model AND as a built in wood fire in the two sizes (suitable for masonry and zero clearance installations). Perched on a ridge overlooking Morton National Park, this incredible house designed by cm studio and built by Join Constructions is deeply connected to the landscape with framed views, natural materials and light filled spaces.

At its heart, our Stuv 21-125 wood fireplace integrated into a soaring stone enclosure, while down the hall in the snug our Stuv 16 sits neatly between joinery. Both fires thoughtfully part of the architecture, bringing warmth and sculpture to the spaces they occupy.

One of the most charming, character-full, dare we say adorable, wood fires on the market - the French-made Petit Godin recently installed and now at home in country New South Wales. The Petit Godin features cast iron and enamelled steel available in Bleu Majolique (blue), Rubis (Red), Gris (Grey) and Bryn (Brown), and it efficiently heats up to 160m2.
