All shingled out! The roof is done! Complete with copper roof capping and weather vane.

A Fiddler on the Roof!!
I hacked a hole for the wiring, but covered it up with dragon scale slate shingles… and I cut and I shingled… and I am still shingling!!!
So for variety I stoned the chimney and made one chimney pot! Shingles will finally be rubbed with plaster, painted and sealed. Stay tuned for more fun!

A day in the kitchen- So I reinstated the original fire place lining up the chimney with upstairs, and I plastered the floor, just like icing a cake! I created flagstones and tried to make it look like stone. A hanging cloths drier, lots of firewood and I feel like it’s coming to together.
Walking that line of keeping the rustic, hand made originality, and creating a new life.
To those who told me not to make it too shiny and new- I hear you! On the job!
