We are completely obsessed with this pair. Sourced directly from France, these authentic 19th-century trestle benches serve up the ultimate mix of grand scale and minimalist design.
At a striking 236cm long, they were originally crafted to line the massive refectory tables of a French provincial farmhouse. But here's the real magic: they feature a super rare, ultra-narrow 15cm seat width. Finding benches this long with such a slim, elegant profile is incredibly hard to do. It means you get massive seating capacity (comfortably seating 4-5 adults per bench) without ever visually crowding your room.
They feature beautifully splayed A-frame trestle legs and robust through-tenon joinery that makes them rock-solid. Decades of active life have given the European hardwood a gorgeous, deeply warm patina, complete with perfectly smooth, rounded "bullnose" ends.
