A beautiful feature pot can add character, texture and a sense of style to your outdoor space. Whether placed at an entrance, tucked into a garden bed or standing proudly on its own, the right pot can become a feature in its own right.
At Brookfield Gardens, we have a gorgeous collection of antique pots, each one handpicked for its unique character, aged patina and timeless appeal. These are one-off pieces, chosen for their individuality and the way they bring something special to a garden.
No two pieces are quite the same, and that’s exactly what makes them so special.
Come and explore our collection in store and find that one piece that will make your garden feel uniquely yours.

TIN // Traditionally used for storing and transporting olive oil, these vessels were crafted for durability and function. Over time, the galvanised surface develops a beautifully softened patina, with natural wear and subtle rust tones that speak to its utilitarian past.

With its tapered form and side ring handles, this piece makes a strong architectural statement. Ideal as a planter for feature trees, an oversized herb container, or styled empty as a sculptural garden element.

Each tin is individually sourced and entirely unique, with variations in tone, markings and age-related character.

Available to view in-store at Brookfield Gardens. Local delivery options available.

AZALEA // Azaleas are a beautiful way to bring a burst of colour to your Brisbane garden.
Azaleas love a position with morning sun and afternoon shade. In Brisbane’s warm climate, protecting them from the harsh afternoon sun helps keep their foliage healthy and their flowers looking their best. They thrive in well-drained, slightly acidic soil that is rich in organic matter, so adding an azalea and camellia potting mix or soil improver can make all the difference.

Can you grow azaleas in pots? Absolutely!
Azaleas are wonderful in pots, making them perfect for patios, courtyards, verandahs and balconies. Choose a pot with good drainage, use a quality acidic potting mix and keep the soil consistently moist without letting the roots sit in water. Potted azaleas are especially happy in a bright position protected from the hot afternoon sun.
With so many beautiful colours to choose from, you can find an azalea to suit almost any garden style. Group a few together for a spectacular display or let one beautiful specimen brighten up your favourite outdoor space.

We love using colour to bring a garden to life. Whether it’s a garden bed filled with seasonal blooms, a collection of colourful pots on the patio or a few flowering plants tucked amongst the greenery, there are so many ways to add colour to your outdoor space.
And it’s not just about how the garden looks. Getting outside, spending time amongst plants and flowers, and taking a moment to slow down can be such a wonderful way to ground yourself and reconnect with the world around you.

OAK // An authentic half oak w**e barrel from Bordeaux, France, repurposed as a generous garden planter. With its aged oak staves and original metal bands, each barrel brings the warmth and character of French w**e country into the garden.

Their substantial size makes them brilliant for feature planting, herbs, vegetables, citrus, flowering annuals or larger ornamental plants. Each barrel comes with pre-drilled drainage holes and, due to its generous capacity, we recommend placing some larger stones in the base for additional drainage before adding approximately two bags of quality potting mix.

HERBS // There’s something special about growing your own herbs.
Whether you have a dedicated herb garden, tuck them into your veggie patch or grow a few pots on the patio, herbs are one of the most rewarding additions to any garden.
Fresh herbs bring so much flavour to the kitchen. Imagine stepping outside to snip a handful of basil for your pasta, rosemary for a roast, mint for a refreshing drink or parsley to finish off a meal. Home-grown herbs make everyday cooking feel a little more special.
They’re often easy to grow, don’t need a lot of space and many varieties thrive happily in pots.
Visit Brookfield Gardens and find the perfect herbs to get your garden growing.

FOXGLOVES // Add a touch of old-fashioned charm to your garden with Foxgloves.
With their tall flower spikes covered in beautiful bell-shaped blooms, Foxgloves make a real statement in the garden. They bring height, colour and a lovely cottage-garden feel, looking especially beautiful planted in groups or tucked amongst other flowering plants.
Foxgloves prefer a cool position with morning sun or filtered light and well-drained, fertile soil. Keep them watered during dry periods and give them a little room to grow so their impressive flower spikes can really shine.
Come and see our Foxgloves at Brookfield Gardens and find the perfect spot for them in your garden.

INSPO // A simple way to define your garden beds, use stones as a natural border.
Stones create a clear separation between your garden beds and lawn or pathways, while adding texture and structure to the garden. They work beautifully in both relaxed, natural gardens and more structured spaces, and can help keep mulch and soil neatly in place.
Choose stones that complement the colours and textures already in your garden, and vary the size and shape for a more natural look. For a softer, organic feel, allow some plants to spill gently over the edges.
Sometimes it’s the simplest details that make a garden feel finished.
Visit us at Brookfield Gardens for inspiration and ideas for your own garden.
