Dulux autumn colour forecast is in.

My old high school uniform colours. Love them both separately but not together :) Are you a fan of the browns that are coming through? I have embraced a small amount of amber in my own home and I love the feeling of comfort these bring. Retro is coming back. Wanting to embrace this in small doses too? Consider some of the beautiful towels now available in retro designs and colours or bring it in through artwork.

For me design isn't just about looking pretty, it's also about functionality and creating balance and harmony in the home. The ancient Chinese practice of Feng Shui does just this. It is about placing items with intention. Same as Law of attraction. Plants bring beautiful living energy into our spaces. Often unconsciously, that connection to nature inside our homes fosters a greater sense of wellbeing.

Bedroom two - Musch Residence.

The brief was a Country style design and to recycle and reuse as much as possible.

We installed new carpet, checked wallpaper and shutters above the bed.

Items the client wanted to keep was the bed, large artwork, bedside tables and use the coverlet that is now on the bed and console table.

We rumaged and found the stunning casement window mirrors in her garage.

I vintage shopped for the bedroom chair

We restained the tops of the bedside tables to make the colour pop against the wallpaper.

My client absolutely loves this design as it reflects her personality and everything she loves - country, colours and pattern on pattern.

I love placing real plants in my clients homes. Not only do they purify the air and soften hard furniture edges, they also connect us to nature resulting in a better mood. Visual signs your plant needs help 👁️🌱
💧 Lack of water → dry leaves, yellow edges, brittle
☀️ Lack of shade → burned, yellowish leaves
🌥️ Lack of sunlight → pale leaves, weak stems
🌊 Excess water → yellow leaves, rotten roots
