18mm Solid Australian Blackbutt | Keeping Traditional Timber Flooring Craftsmanship Alive

Some flooring choices never go out of style. 🌿

These days, hybrid, laminate and engineered timber flooring are popular choices for Australian homes. But for those who truly appreciate natural timber, nothing quite compares to the character and authenticity of solid hardwood.

Our latest project features 18mm Solid Australian Blackbutt with a beautiful matte finish — showcasing the natural grain, warmth and unique character of real Australian timber.

Solid timber flooring installation is a traditional skill that is becoming less common. It requires experience, patience, precision and a genuine understanding of working with natural hardwood.

At Your Rugs and Flooring, we’re proud that our experienced installation team continues to carry on this craftsmanship.

We love modern flooring solutions, but we’re equally passionate about keeping traditional timber flooring skills alive.

Traditional craftsmanship. Natural Australian timber. Built to be enjoyed for generations.

Four years later, they called us again.

We installed the downstairs flooring in this townhouse four years ago. Our customer was so happy with the result that, when it was time to replace the tired upstairs carpet, they came back to us.

Three bedrooms and a hallway, now finished in beautiful oak-look 12mm laminate (Riverhill Urban Laminate)with 48-hour water resistance

It means a lot to be welcomed back. Thank you for trusting us again!
