Starting the working year with final inspections at the Auchenflower House.

This lovely project involved replanning two floors of an established character home to maximise features and adapt to the evolved needs of a family. Outdoor spaces were also re-activated and openings to them modified to improve connection. This brought about a new kitchen, laundry, robes and a library for the home office. Another joyful build with .

The hardest thing about parenting is that you’re preparing people you can’t live without, to live without you.

Traveling with these boys these past weeks has meant I’ve not been lost, lifted a suitcase, shown the wrong QR code or been ditched, no matter how many photos I’ve stopped to take (not counting sighs or sledging!). They are already much better at this than me. And yet.

The four of us are now in three different countries, a day’s travel from each other. It was what we wished for them, what we did ourselves at their age, and yet…

For once I’m grateful insta can read my thoughts as it sent me a lovely post by (excerpt in slides).

Grateful for our villages at home and afar.
