It’s a day to keep working on these dratted pegboards, which will end up as display stands, once they’re assembled, had the signage made and applied and the hanging mechanisms added. These suckers are made (pretty even 1/3 split) by my husband, his dad and myself, likewise the bootjacks and hat display stands. The wooden display boxes are all hand crafted by my father in law and the coasters are a 50/50 split between hubby and I. The signage is all done in house, graphic design by yours truly and signage application by Geoff, same with the DTF logos which are applied here using our big heat press. Those big letters you see around the top of my tent? All set up, printed with the big vinyl cutter and applied with the heat press here😉. So it’s a big team effort on the fit-out as well as the handmade products; that also means there’s not much in my business that I personally haven’t had a hand in. We do as much as we can in house (a) because we can, we’re “doers” and problem solvers, (b) to keep costs down and (c) because we control how the end result looks😉. Obviously the tent, tables, cloths and backdrops are purchased items, but how we’ve rigged them to be easier to erect is on Geoff and I too, as well as the layout/merchandising. The only products I haven’t had a hand in are the “walk-outs” - lower price point reseller items that people can walk out with for under $20. Having said that, I still have to source, choose, order, receive them and bring them into stock. So when you visit my business in person, at a festival or the like, know that it truly represents our own designs and hard work😉🥰.
