It seems ridiculous that at this end of this week it is Good Friday
I seem to be so rushed and running around all this year and I cannot believe that it is 1 April tomorrow
with all the craziness in the world and all the disruption and uncertainty I’ve just found myself just focused on work and all my clients and friends and I’ve not had a chance to even think about posting very much in such a long time
I hope this photo taken over a week ago and every day I think to go and post just to say I’m alive and well and that I miss everybody but here I am and it’s April tomorrow and Easter at the end of the week
I must say that in a profession where everybody continually seems to be lecturing people and telling them what they shouldn’t shouldn’t be doing. It drives me a bit crazy. I just wish people revert back to some degree of normality and just come and see the people that want to see making an appointment and have a chat, decide if you’re compatible to work together and move on.
So here I am saying hello and wishing everybody a wonderful week ahead and a great Easter and the end too a terrible war and all the terrible atrocities that are happening in the world
We should all be grateful that way alive and well and look after the people close during all these times of adversity

On this Beautiful Spring Day in early October in Brisbane I decided to spend some quiet time in the Garden channelling Season 3 of White Lotus and giving thanks to a career that’s lasted 37 years thus far!
Bespoke Interior Design is one of the most misunderstood and misrepresented Professions ever I’m sure of it!!!
Design Studios are not department stores!
With another industry and chaos and with public perception being totally off the mark I see constantly colleagues trying to lecture people into what they should and shouldn’t be doing
Giving advice and trying to make the blind see
What a waste of time and energy
I would prefer to direct my energy to the wonderful people who have risen above the mass consciousness at a individuals in the right right and look beyond and employ people like myself who will design according to my clients personality and the type of project they are working on whether it be an apartment or a beach house or a beautiful traditional or contemporary house
I wish people would stop wasting time on reading reviews because frankly speaking reviews only as valuable as the person giving them
I would prefer to spend my time nurturing and valuing my projects of my clients than giving people advice on how to style a room!
Placing a bunch of flowers on the centre table is not interior design
It is a very complex and wonderful profession that’s been more misunderstood that ever before

Thank you to the people who take the time to come and see me and discuss their projects and are happy to be guided professionally with respect and value for both the project and my clients who allow me to work with them closely to create times with individuality!
With The so-called hotel everywhere look thank goodness some people can rise above it and allow themselves to be themselves and they are my clients thank you to all of you

How incredibly funny that both these wonderful girls ( who are friends ) independently messaged me saying we they’d love to catch up with me!!!!
I miss our chats absolutely who I met more than 20 years ago as a client who’s become such a great friend and Rachael whom I’ve also known for decades but recently reacquainted which is so lovely!!!
Remember the dinner party when we first met and I’m rambling about one of my favourite topics ( Numerology)
Interior Design for me because of my unique approach where I find that to create homes that reflect and bring out the best of my clients means connecting with people authentically and working together closely which means I’m not for everyone!!!
Unless there is a connection beyond Business you are not the Client for me and I’m not the Designer for you!
Love you both and hope we can have that get together soon!!!
