A little about Me: I am a passionate fibre artist residing in Brisbane, Australia. Working primarily with wool, felt, embroidery techniques, and various other fibre materials. I channel my love for these materials into teaching felting workshops and embroidery classes. My passion for textile art isn't just about creating beautiful pieces—it's about building a community, offering a sanctuary for creative souls, and contributing to mental well-being through artistic expression. What a beautiful start to winter here in Brisbane and a wonderful way to begin my winter felting workshops in The Studio! Here are some before and after photos of the flowers that were created in today's workshop. It was especially lovely to see mothers, daughters and sisters sharing the experience together, learning something new and enjoying a few hours of creativity. So proud of everyone. What an absolutely wonderful day teaching my Embroidered Bamboo Sewing Basket workshop today. 💛
I was lucky enough to spend the day with four beautiful women, each bringing their own creativity and personality to the table. A very special mention to Amanda, who has been deaf from birth, and Natalie — not only Amanda’s carer, but also her dear friend.
Natalie is also a mum to a young boy with high special needs and is such a strong advocate for embracing diversity and inclusion. Natalie shared with us that she was told that one day she would appear on TV as part of her campaign! 🤞
The day was filled with creativity, relaxed stitching, lots of laughs and some wonderfully cheeky banter between Amanda and Natalie that kept us all smiling. Days like these are such a beautiful reminder of how creativity brings people together.
Thank you to everyone who joined me and made the day so enjoyable. ✨

A little life update from The Fabric and Felt Studio, Grassdale Road, Gumdale 💛
My husband and I are preparing for a new chapter — we are downsizing to Lota.
Leaving this beautiful property will be bittersweet, but maintaining a 10,000 sqm block is becoming a little too much for us these days. It’s going to be quite the change moving to a 405 sqm block! 😟
Many of you have asked what this means for my workshops. At this stage, I can confirm that I will not be running home-based workshops in 2027. However, I will continue teaching school and private workshops, and I’ll keep you posted about what the future may hold once we are settled.
If you’ve been thinking about attending a workshop this year, I’d encourage you to book now, as places will be limited while we prepare for the move.
Thank you all for your support, friendship, and encouragement over the years — it truly means so much to me. 💛

I had such a lovely morning yesterday at Brisbane City Council’s Mt Gravatt Library teaching my Embroidered Brooch Workshop.
It’s always wonderful welcoming people who have never tried embroidery before — I hope I’ve opened the door to a whole new creative world for them. For those with more experience, it was a chance to slow down, stitch, connect and simply enjoy being creative together.
A big thank you once again to Brisbane City Council for supporting these workshops and giving people the opportunity to experience the simple pleasure of slowing down with some mindful stitching. ✨
