This started as an older brick home and was completely transformed by the owner over a few years into a light, coastal-style home.

Green and white were a part of the brief, which led into a Palm Springs feel that still worked with the lighter finishes and gold fixtures throughout.

Scale played a big role too. The living area needed two sofas to feel right, and the dining space called for a 2.1m table so it didn’t feel empty.

After a renovation like this, it’s less about changing the home and more about finishing it properly so it reads the way it should when buyers walk through.

Walking into this acreage home, the formal living is the first thing you see. A bold fireplace and a room with plenty of space to work with.

But instead of centering everything around it, we pulled the seating back to keep the walkway open, this creates a nice flow at an open home. A buyers first impression needs to feel clear, not blocked.

From there, it was about carrying that same feeling across the home. Five bedrooms, multiple living areas and two dining spaces, each one needed its own role without starting to feel the same.

Because when a home opens well, the rest tends to follow.

When a buyer can’t work out what a space is for, that uncertainty doesn’t just sit there. It turns into leverage.
Phoebe’s point is simple: use the floor plan the way it was meant to be used. Clear rooms, clear purpose. That’s how you get a strong first impression and a clean read of the home.
This isn’t one of ours, but the principle holds on every property we style. The moment there are question marks against a space, the buyer starts playing down the value. And that’s exactly where they begin negotiating you down.

Before staging, the home felt big but a bit open-ended. Multiple living areas and two dining spaces but it all felt empty.

We bought the staging in, now the home still has that large scale feel, but doesn’t feel empty and cold. Every space has its purpose and it’s clear that a family could live here.

Everything that goes into a home needs to be clean, well presented, and fit for purpose. If it’s not, it stands out straight away.

Behind the scenes, there are checks, processes, and a team making sure anything damaged gets repaired or pulled out before it ever reaches the next property. Because when someone’s paying for a professional result, the standard has to hold up at every step.

Salisbury. 690m² block, polished timber floors, and a covered deck running the full width of the home out the back, north-facing onto Toohey Forest.

Outdoor entertaining was the lifestyle pitch here, so we styled the deck at scale to make sure buyers could picture themselves living out there.

Homes like this are built for a pretty specific buyer.
Young families. Easy living. Spaces that need to work straight away.
So the styling followed that.

The rust tile splash back through the kitchen and bathrooms gave us a starting point, so we carried that tone through the home in a simple, organic way.

From there, it was about keeping everything practical. A six-seater dining table for a 4 to 5 person family, layouts that didn’t take up all the space in a room, and nothing that made buyers stop and rethink how they’d use the space.
