It’s cold and wet today and I’m stuck at home for week two of a virus that just won’t go away 🤧😷🤒☹️
And feeling sad that the world has lost the talented , generous and kind Dolly Parton overnight. Not only did she expose the Jolene’s of this world, she also lived life the way she wanted to and she did it with pride and humility. RIP Dolly.
So today I’ll be listening to her music and slowly regaining some normality to my life by picking up my knitting.

I was very excited yesterday to visit Skein Machine in Adelaide and meet the shop owner and designer of shadow shawls Jamo. What a lovely man and enthusiastic knitter himself. If you’re in SA make sure you pop out to Eden Hills and enjoy this lovely shop with its friendly helpful staff, and add to your stash, just as I did 😜

Finished the Hummingbird Shadow Shawl this week! So pleased with the result.
Pattern by Jamo designs Skein Machine in Adelaide. Yarn is cleckheaton country 8ply from my stash. It is quite thick and heavy so next time I’d probably use a softer 4ply yarn.
