Thank you to everyone who joined us at OPEN STUDIO for Melbourne Design Week 2026.

Over four days, we welcomed visitors into our Brunswick East studio to share insights into our process, materials, and locally made lighting. The exhibition introduced Solace Chain, a preview of a new linear pendant, recent works shown during Milan Design Week, and a selection of new material explorations and editions

A special thank you to Melbourne Design Week , and for continuing to support and celebrate Australia's design community.

We were proud to serve a selection of Australian-made beverages at our OPEN STUDIO breakfast series and party. A special thank you to for the morning batch brews, for the wine, , MODE .mode for the seltzers, and TINA .drinks for the non-alcoholic beverages. We really appreciate your support.

Launching alongside the collection is a new Black Glass finish, introducing a deeper and more sculptural expression to the Solace collection. Available across the Solace Table Lamp, Pendant, and new Chain Pendant, the dark opaque glass enhances the collection’s quiet presence.

Currently on display during OPEN STUDIO for Melbourne Design Week 2026, 14 – 17 May, Ross Gardam’s production studio is open to the public for the first time, offering a rare insight into the process and craftsmanship behind the collection.

INTRODUCING SOLACE CHAIN /

Solace Chain is available in single, single-looped, and double-looped configurations. Each piece can be composed in multiple combinations to form both restrained and larger, more expansive statements.

Each glass shade is crafted in Australia and hand assembled in our Melbourne-based studio. The pendant is available in a selection of mouth-blown glass finishes, paired with a refined brass chain and body in brushed natural, bronzed or blackened brass.

Currently on display during OPEN STUDIO for Melbourne Design Week 2026, 14 – 17 May, Ross Gardam’s production studio will open to the public for the first time, offering a rare insight into the process and craftsmanship behind the collection.

INTRODUCING SOLACE CHAIN /

Solace Chain extends the language of the Solace Pendant through a delicate suspension. A fine chain introduces movement and subtle weight, allowing the geometric glass form to settle into a gentle, natural drape. The result is a composition that feels precise and fluid, balancing structure with softness.

A reminder that OPEN STUDIO, our Melbourne Design Week 2026 event, begins next week. Ross Gardam will open its production studio to the public for the first time.

We look forward to welcoming you into an environment defined by process and materiality, where luminaires take form through locally sourced materials and meticulous hand-assembly in Brunswick East, Melbourne.

Set within the rhythm of production, the studio will unveil a new lighting collection, expanding Gardam’s evolving portfolio. Visitors are invited to experience a curated selection of works first introduced at Milan Design Week, alongside new material explorations and refined configurations.

FEATURE PROJECT /

Within By Mysa’s Silver House, the kitchen, dining and lounge unfold as one open, connected space, defined by a calm palette of timber, stone and metal. Sculptural timber stools at the island add warmth and a sense of craftsmanship, anchoring the space.

Clean-lined joinery and considered proportions keep the interior restrained and highly functional. Wall lighting introduces a soft, even glow, drawing out the materiality and shaping a living zone that feels both practical and quietly refined.

Featuring our Rook Stool in American Walnut, with Black Powder-Coated Base and Foot Rest, along with our Ceto Wall Light in Clear Glass and Black Anodised Aluminium.

ADAPT CURVED LOUNGE /

Shown here in a curved configuration, our Adapt Lounge and Universal Table sit comfortably beneath a cluster of Ora Pendants, within Stylecraft’s Brisbane showroom.

Adapt is crafted to support the individual needs of the user. It can be utilised as a private workspace in a standalone format, or transformed into more collaborative environments, from small, secluded booths to larger meeting areas.

A combination of 45°, 60° and 90° curved modules allows for the creation of distinct breakout, meeting, and training spaces in multiple arrangements.
