It’s been a while since I have painted a dark piece, but this hall table seemed the perfect fit. Painted in Ash and finished with a dark wax. Ash seems to change in all the different lights, and the dark wax added a lovely depth to the colour. Dressed with sleek brass . {$370}

I found the sweetest pair of mismatched bedsides again.

They are far from perfect but that’s what I love about them. The tops have been lightly white washed to tone down the timber and sealed with a matt top coat, complementing the imperfections in the timber and giving them a rustic finish. I’ve used Raw Silk , on the body and Bellwood on the interiors.

These pieces never last long and would look fantastic in a big old Queenslander ❤️ {$475}

It’s been a while! The craziness of end of year and school starting back is behind me and I’ve been lucky enough to have a few days off to myself. So I chose to paint 😆 I find it so therapeutic.

A classic pair of white and wood besides dressed with bone k***s are always a favourite. These are available for purchase {$385}

Does anyone else get a look in their head for a piece and then won’t admit defeat??
These drawers were not playing the game. I wanted the simple, scrubbed pine look, but whatever this piece had been finished with before was determined not to budge. So many hours of cleaning, sanding, stripping, scrubbing and sanding again (finished with a light white wash), I finally got the look I was after 😅 Simple and classic. Was it worth it?? I don’t know, you tell me 😂 I think i'll be keeping this one…I’m sure there’s a sliver of wall somewhere I can sneak it onto.

This piece came to me a little worse for wear and needed a lot of love (As per usual I forgot to take a before photo 🤦🏽‍♀️).

After a deep clean, plenty of patching, sanding and more cleaning, it’s been given a new lease on life in Raw Silk by Fusion Mineral Paint. I love the rustic grain on top, so have just sealed this with a matt top coat and dark wax.

These pieces make great little side tables or a sweet bedside in a kids room to hide all their treasures ❤️ {$265}

Hi 👋🏼 It’s been a while since I’ve refinished a piece. My mat leave came to an end and I’m back working in the office. But I love painting, so trying to do a piece now and then in my down time 😊

This classic pair of bedsides have been painted in Raw Silk Fusion Mineral Paint and dressed with elegant rose gold pulls. The timber tops have been finished with a matt top coat and then a given a coat of dark wax, giving then a rustic aged finish, and removing any of the orangey pine look. {$395}

Quick photo before before she trashes it 🙈

For my daughters 1st birthday I did an IKEA play kitchen hack. I used Fusion Mineral Paint Little Whale, a beautiful baby blue. I also did a fair bit of prep work to ensure it would withstand the bashing I knew it would get (she doesn’t play gently!).

I cleaned with TSP, lightly sanded, used Ultra Grip and then finished with a few coats of tough coat. So far so good 🙌🏻 The accessories were sprayed with Rustoleum and the amazing tiled splashback was from Kmart. Was such a fun little project!

Remember this beauty? I started it almost a month ago and it only gave me grief! Whatever it was finished with before was not suitable for metal and had not adhered properly therefore had to be (painstakingly) removed before I could paint it again.

It’s new owner requested a pop of color to fit in with her retro decor, and chose Seaside gloss. I also oiled and waxed the timber seat, which I found hidden under some pretty interesting layers of vinyl. It’s now off to its new home in Sydney.

More bedsides, more white and wood 🙌🏻 I love this classic combo and they never seem to stick around for long. I’ve used my favourite white, Fusion Mineral Paint Raw Silk, and given the pine tops an aged look by using oil to enhance the grain and then finishing with a coat of dark wax. This technique works beautifully by bringing out all the woods imperfections, creating a lovely rustic finish ❤️ {$385}

So my house is overwhelmed with chairs. Mostly bought for styling or rescued roadside. There’s a chair in every room, poised in every corner. So I’ve decided to start by parting with this little bentwood before there is no floor space left! It’s a very pretty chair painted in Raw Silk with timber tipped feet and lovely pressed floral details in the timber back rest. DM for more details.
