The property enjoys a vista overlooking the Lerderderg State Park with views of Mt Bullengarook. This stud seeks to develop quality fleece for spinning and weaving with a soft handle, lustre and good crimp while maintaining show quality physical breed standards requi

red to be admitted as a stud member of the Australian Corriedale Society. The sheep are part of the 'farm family'; The sheep remain in family groups, they come when called for food, this also helps to move them from paddock to paddock. They watch with interest the activities of the people they share the land with, are inquisitive; they self-load themselves into a trailer (!) like a scratch and admit themselves into the house in search of food. All this means the sheep are happy and content sheep with few stressors who produce quality wool. Farm gate sales are a speciality. The property does not use fertilizer or chemicals and the sheep are not mulesed.

Paul you are an inspiration. Here Paul wears his hand woven Cloverleaf and Kingsberri Corriedale suit jacket and waistcoat.
I met Paul through friends Paula and Ilka. We discussed fibres that were workable for practicing the weaving of a lost fabric: the St Kilda Tweed which was produced from the more primitive style of sheep in Scotland. We chose a white Cloverleaf Corriedale for a neutral fibre choice: as a robust but honest fibre. I went to Darryl at Kingsberri and chose a tan Corriedale fleece and linked Paul with to have the coloured Corrie spun into a fi*****ng weight yarn. Paul expertly wove these into a St Kilda Tweed material, and in an inspiring action had the most incredible garment made

Good sheepdog. Mini has taken to looking after a sick little ewe lamb. I think the little lamb may have nibbled on a mushroom. She was having seizures, loose stool. Jess showed me how to tube feed and on day 3 we continue to support her in this way.

Thanks for a wonderful show. Cloverleaf entered fleeces only this year; and all are for sale (pls pm me). I want to recognise the sponsors and organisers as none of this would be possible without them; so this might be a lengthy post.

-First Coloured fleece (sold): This was the only fleece entered; however there is a story that the fleece was judged and might have been in the running for Champion.... however this was a step too far so was re-judged so as not to gain this place. Love it!
A huge shout out to Jess from who on a whim entered a lovely fleece and split my two entries, fantastic! A mention to Tess who leads the Flinders College for all the great work she does and preparing a magnificent Rams fleece that rightly was awarded best Corriedale Fleece (Guy Wettenhall Perpetual Trophy and Stanbury Corriedale Perpetual Trophy Sponsored by the Poulston Family.)
Ribbons are not what I pursue. My aim is to have the fleeces benchmarked by peers and experts. I love the sheep and what they produce and to have this supported by commercial wool industry professionals and wool spinners experts is a privilege. It also keeps me honest with my fleeces. Thank you Royal Geelong and Heather Stoney for all you do. All fleeces are for sale, on sale @ $20/kg.
*entered as a crossbred fleece as this was a heterozygous sheep (has a black sheep in its heritage)
