Our second wild clay workshop of the year!!! ✨

Join the Art and Pottery Studio crew at a hands-on workshop for curious makers wanting to connect their art with our Bundaberg environment. Over 4 hours, you’ll learn how 8 wild-coloured clays have been sourced and processed, and use them to expand your creative practice through hand-building techniques including nerikomi.

This workshop is for beginners and seasoned potters wanting to explore exciting new possibilities connecting their art with a sense of place in Bundaberg. We’ll be all about experimentation and play with this ancient material, so bring your sense of fun and adventure for a wildly creative morning at the Studio.

Pieces made at the workshop can be taken home or left for firing and/or glazing at the Studio for later pickup in 2 weeks.
Please wear clothes that you might wear gardening (i.e. can get muddy and stained). Participants are advised to let the Studio know if you have any sensitivities to specific mineral contents. Aprons, nitrile gloves and N95 masks are available as part of the workshop, as required.

We have had Anita as our emerging artist of 2026 and what an amazing journey she has been on. What an incredible process she has spent the year learning with wild clay. October the 3rd Anita is running a workshop at the studio, you can book in through our website 🤎

Intro to handbuilding with TAPS

We will teach you the basics of hand building including pinching, and slab techniques to create functional pieces of pottery. You will finish your 4 week course with at least 5 functional pieces that you will be able to use in your daily life.

Cost includes all materials, tools and firing 🤎
