For those who don't know, I was in the bundy 2010/11 and 2013 floods over North and my house got severely flooded in the 2010 flood. I had my 2 oldest boys at the time. We got through it but it was very traumising for me and the boys, mostly Zac because Seth was still very young to realise much was going on.
Even though we no longer live over North, the anxiety and flash backs are still very real. I really struggled with this yesterday but today I woke up pretty ok.
Lexi has been seeing photos and videos from her friends so this morning she asked me if we could go for a drive to have a look. So, because I was feeling pretty good (mentally), I took her and Damon around to the places we could get to 😊 Well, I was ok until we hit Targo Street 😣 (opposite side that the news was on) but I pushed through my anxiety and light headedness and continued around town. Traffic was insane!
It was worth it tho to show the kids a piece of (what will be) history and what their older brothers went through when they were younger than them.
I hope the damage this time around isn't as bad as last time, but it wouldn't surprise me if it is 🥺
I hope you all stay safe everyone! ❤️

P.s. my kids schools are over East and North so they are enjoying the week off lol also so grateful I work from home!!

💜✨ Happy International Women’s Day ✨💜

Today is all about celebrating the strength, resilience and achievements of women everywhere — in our homes, our communities, and our businesses.

For me, running my little Scentsy business has become so much more than just selling wax and warmers.

When I first joined, I simply wanted a little extra income for myself and an excuse to surround my home with the fragrances I love. But over time, it’s grown into something much bigger.

It’s given me the confidence to step outside my comfort zone, the chance to build friendships, and a sense of purpose that reminds me I’m more than “just mum”… even though being mum is my favourite job in the world. 💜

Because of this little business, I get to do things that mean everything to me —
✨ going to school events
✨ taking the kids to dance, boxing and gymnastics
✨ creating fun things like mystery baskets and sample packs with Lexi
✨ earning an income while still being present for my family

And one of my favourite moments?
When a friend messaged me to say her friends always comment on how amazing her house smells. It might seem small, but knowing I’ve helped create a home that feels welcoming, calm and comforting means so much.

Fragrance might seem like a simple thing, but it can truly set the mood in our homes, cars and workspaces, helping us feel calmer, happier and more like ourselves.

Today I’m celebrating all the incredible women — mums, business owners, carers, friends — who are juggling a million things and still showing up every day with strength and heart.

And I’m incredibly grateful that this little Scentsy business allows me to do the same. 💜

✨️Something big happened today and was a long time coming!✨️

Firstly, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who was and has been there for me since the start 💖 You know who you are so I won't mention names 🫶

I see this as the end of a chapter 📖. It's been a bloody tough chapter but I hope those who have been with me, can see it as the end of their chapter too ☺️🫂 It's not just for me, but for you too! ❤️‍🩹

I didn't really know what to think about the finalisation of it all, until a week ago, and then I was counting down the days! Lol 4 weeks and 1 day, still seemed like so far away! 😩

Come today, I went to lunch with a friend to celebrate...hoping that during lunch, I'd get the official word that I was divorced 🙏, yes divorced...and I did! 🤗🥰 I was still in shock but it was the best feeling in the world!

Seeing that certificate, in writing, from the court, made it all seem so much more real! 🥹

I am so excited for what the future brings, let alone what it has already given me this year 🥰 I can not be more grateful! 🙏

Cheers to the future and many happy memories! 🥂 Now bring on the party! 🥳
