Awesome score from the Salvos today. Browsing after my plasma donation and saw a box of vintage patterns. I told myself that I DO NOT NEED more sewing patterns, but some of these are the oldest I’ve seen - pre-1966 with pre-decimal currency prices on them. My favourite is the last one 😍😍 journals and bookmarks coming up!

Bookmark making today. These are the ‘randoms’ that I take along to craft markets - scrap papers, book pages left over from journals, soft book covers. All two-sided, all stitched for durability, with whichever matching ribbons I have floating around.

Latest Etsy upload is a set of five bookmarks using vintage atlases. Each is made from three layers: a map, an index page, and reclaimed cardboard. The layers are stitched together for durability, and finished with blue ribbon. Find them here: https://wordsandprettypaper.etsy.com/listing/4512973028

Trimming and packing handmade paper. Each batch is a different colour and I love them all, but this teal-blue is a favourite. It’s a long process to go from firm paper scraps to packaged sets of ten pages, but the finished product is worth it. Some colours are in my Etsy shop, but message me if you want a particular colour.

Elastic bound journal. Two signatures, each with 12 pages of blank, lined, patterned and book pages. BUT… the elastic means the pages can be removed, added, or moved around. Perfect for memory keeping, or a special gift as it’s so versatile.

New project: magnets. Circles cut from an Australian birds field guide, making cute one-inch magnets. Cute and practical! I’ve got a BIG lot drying on my desk.

Making up a new batch of ‘blind date with a book’, restocking the most popular romance and fantasy genres. I also have thrillers, historical, literary, memoir, and contemporary - over 100 titles so I’m sure I can find something to suit you. . Wrapped ready for giving for any occasion, or treat yourself with a surprise read, although I’m always happy to tell you the title if you’re more risk averse! $12 each and I can deliver locally.

More crafting in front of the TV - national netball today! Atlas bookmarks using upcycled cardboard and a 1980s pocket atlas, featuring the USSR and Burma. Once they’re dry, I’ll see around the edges, punch the tops and add twine or yarn.

Ephemera and scrap packs - 50+ pieces for collage, art journals or papercrafts

02/05/2026

Packing ephemera and scrap packs for my Etsy shop - I had been a bit low on stock so did some cutting and sorting while watching my footy game this afternoon. Each one is different as I use vintage book pages, game pieces, patterned paper scraps and stamped images, but here’s a sample of what you might find in yours. Perfect for collage, junk journals, art journals, card making, or other papercrafts.
