Long before Obie Crowe Collective, there were the Beasties.
First created in 2007, when I brought them to life for my end-of-year school exams and exhibition for art class. They were the beginning of a strange and ever-growing cast of my own original characters.
Over the years, they changed, multiplied, and wandered through different characteristics, stories and series, with 'The Seven Princes' series becoming the last of their kind a few years ago. My artwork, style and skills have evolved wildly over that 20 year journey, and now, those original incarnations have been laid to rest, preserved as 'The Banished Editions'.
🪦 ...But, some things refuse to stay buried. 🪦
From two decades of characters, sketches, experiments and passionate ideas come a new journey with 'The Crowe Folk' - They are old souls, reborn alongside entirely new entities.
Past series will gradually be unearthed, re-imagined and reproduced through the world of Obie Crowe Collective, whilst new entities will continue to emerge along the way.
They may have new names, new forms, and new stories, but somewhere beneath are the bones and ghosts of all that came before them.
