🔥🎨 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: YOUR HOME IS ABOUT TO GET COSY & CULTURED 🎨🔥

Some stalls sparkle.
Some stalls smell divine.
Oil and Ember Art? Oh… they set the whole mood.
Rolling into Banksia Makers Market like a warm hug with artistic flair, Oil and Ember Art are serving glow + soul — where flickering candlelight meets dreamy oil-pastel art on wood. Translation: your house is about to feel like a Pinterest board that finally got its life together. ✨

🕯️ THE CANDLES — AKA: INSTANT ATMOSPHERE IN A JAR
Hand-poured. Beautifully scented. Dangerously relaxing.
Light one and suddenly:
• Your shoulders drop
• Your brain goes “ahhhh”
• You become the kind of person who says things like “Let’s unwind.”
(Who even are you? We love this for you.)

🎨 THE ART — SMALL PIECES, BIG FEELS
Oil pastel landscapes created directly on wood — rich, textured, and full of heart.
Each piece is one-of-a-kind. No prints. No copies. Just tiny windows into peaceful places that make you pause mid-market and whisper, “Okay… that’s beautiful.”

✨ WHAT TO EXPECT AT THEIR STALL:
• Soft candle glow doing its cosy magic 🕯️
• Tiny easels with big personality 🎨
• Scents that make you linger “just one more minute”
• Art that feels calm, grounded, and soulful
• You saying “I’ll just get one thing” and leaving with both a candle AND a painting (growth ✨)
Oil and Ember Art isn’t loud.
It doesn’t shout.
It quietly steals your heart and upgrades your living room. 🔥

🔥🎨 WHERE ART MEETS A MATCHSTICK — AT BANKSIA MAKERS MARKET 🎨🔥 (Not in the Winston Churchill burning his official Portrait way)

Some stalls smell good.
Some stalls look good.
Oil & Ember does both — and does it beautifully.
✨ Oil and Ember Art is bringing a double dose of creative goodness to the Banksia Makers Market, blending scented candles with oil pastel artworks painted directly onto wood — because ambience should be seen and felt.

🕯️ THE CANDLES
Hand-poured, softly glowing, and thoughtfully scented. These are the kind of candles that instantly lower your shoulders, quiet the room, and make everything feel intentional. Light one and suddenly it’s that kind of evening.
🎨 THE ART
Oil pastel landscapes created directly on wood — rich in texture, colour, and feeling. Each piece is original and one-of-a-kind, like a tiny window into a place you’ve wandered… or wish you had. Small artworks with big soul.

Together?
It’s slow scent + slow art.
It’s warm light and quiet beauty.
It’s the stall that makes you stop mid-market stroll and say, “Oh wow…”

Expect:
• Candles flickering beside tiny easels
• Gorgeous textures you’ll want to study up close
• Scents that keep you lingering longer than planned
• Art that feels calm, grounded, and deeply personal
• You trying to choose between a candle or a painting (spoiler: it’s both)

🔥 Oil and Ember Art at the Banksia Makers Market is perfect for lovers of handmade pieces with heart — things that don’t shout, but stay with you.

These are small paintings, but they took time.
Each one is oil pastel worked directly onto Huon Pine, letting the grain and marks stay visible and the place emerge as I go.

Each candle begins as an oil pastel painting.

I’ve been spending a lot of time painting places around Tasmania. Walks I take, views I stop at, moments that stick with me.

I started pairing those paintings with candle scents and pouring them by hand, to see if I could turn the feeling of a place into something you could light at home.

This video shows a bit of that process, from melting the wax to sticking on the labels.

This is the beginning of Oil & Ember.
