A huge thank you to the lovely ladies from Gawler Quilting Circle for visiting my shop today in Burra North. It was a pleasure to be part of your Mystery Shopping trip. Thank-you to Deb Wilkie for all your help. 🌸✂️🪡🧵Gawler Quilting Circle
Mystery Bus Trip
What a wonderful day we had today on our Mystery Bus Trip! 🚌
Twenty-nine ladies arrived bright and early, ready for a day of shopping and exploring some of our wonderful country towns.
Our first stop was Charlene’s at Jamestown, a beautiful shop steeped in history. We were amazed by the incredible range of antique sewing machines on display — certainly one of the largest collections we have ever seen!
Jamestown itself is a beautiful historic town, filled with gorgeous old buildings and plenty to explore. Located approximately two hours from Gawler, it is definitely worth the drive to visit this wonderful quilt shop, as well as the amazing Shellie’s Shoes.
After enjoying our time in Jamestown, we hopped back on the bus and headed to Kookaburra Quilts in Burra, where we were warmly welcomed by Jeanie. Jeanie kindly provided tea and coffee, along with a lovely place for us to sit and enjoy our lunch.
Both shops had an amazing selection of beautiful fabrics and quilting supplies, along with the warm country hospitality that makes visiting these businesses so special.
It is wonderful to be able to support our local and country quilt shops, and we are so grateful to Elaine, Jeanie and their teams for making us feel so welcome.
A fantastic day was had by all, with plenty of laughter, friendship, inspiration and, of course, quilting treasures! 💕🧵
Thanks also Tony for being our driver.
