🛏️ Meet Shae – Store Manager at Forty Winks Butler 🛏️

Sleep runs deep in Shae’s family — he’s the third generation in a proud line of bedding experts, starting with his Popa back in 1985. Shae began his own journey in the business at just 15, working as a delivery offsider after school, just like his dad once did. Over the years (with a few other jobs in between), he found himself drawn back to the world of sleep and comfort — and today, he’s proudly managing our brand-new Butler store.

What keeps him going? For Shae, it’s not just about selling beds — it’s about helping people find better sleep. He’s learned that everyone’s needs are different, and the key to finding the right fit is listening first. Whether you’re dealing with back pain, restless nights, or just ready for an upgrade, Shae’s all about making the process feel easy, relaxed, and even a little fun.

Outside of work, Shae’s creativity shines through in unexpected ways — like building terrariums, beautiful closed gardens that bring calm and greenery into the bedroom. It’s just another reflection of his love for peaceful, restful spaces.

Shae’s been on quite a journey to get here, and we couldn’t be prouder of the heart, drive, and care he brings to Forty Winks Butler.

🌟 Meet the Family Behind Forty Winks Butler! 🌟

Hi everyone, we’re Wade and Kerryn — the proud local owners of Forty Winks Butler!

Our journey in the bedding world actually started long before we opened our doors here in Butler... it’s a family tradition we're very proud of.

Back in 1985, Wade’s father opened his very first bedding store in Geraldton. Over 20 years, he ran not just one, but two successful stores, all while proudly serving the community through Rotary. Watching him showed us firsthand what it means to build a business that supports its community.

Carrying on that tradition, Wade opened Forty Winks Geraldton in 2007 — a milestone that we still have proudly displayed on our wall. Not long after, Kerryn left her job to join the business full-time, and we’ve been working side-by-side ever since!

The opportunity came about when Forty Winks head office heard about Wade through the grapevine. They reached out to us — and the rest is history! We knew we couldn’t pass up the chance to continue helping families find a better night's sleep.

A few years ago, we expanded by opening a store in Joondalup and moved our family to Perth. Our children, Shae and Paige (both pictured), have been an important part of the journey too, with both kids growing up around the family business — and Shae starting in deliveries back in 2015.

After lots of hard work and dedication, Shae is now proudly leading the Forty Winks Butler store. You’ll be hearing more about him soon, and we couldn’t be more excited to see him take on this new role with the same passion and dedication that has always been at the heart of our family business.

Today, we’re proud to have recently launched our newest store here in Butler, bringing decades of experience, passion, and family values into everything we do.
